IRVING -- Coach Wade Phillips expects free safety Ken Hamlin (groin) and center Andre Gurode (ankle) to play Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
Hamlin and Gurode had limited participation in Thursday's practice after sitting out Wednesday. They should have full participation in Friday's practice.
"Both of them moved around pretty well," Phillips said. "Unless we have a setback, it looks like they're going to be all right."
Other items of interest from Phillips' Thursday press conference:
One reason the coaching staff is considering replacing Felix Jones on kickoff returns is because they want to get him more touches on offense.
Jones had only four carries for 10 yards in last week's win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He has 86 yards on 20 carries in three games since returning from a sprained knee. Jones rushed for over 90 yards in the two games before injuring his knee.
"The healthier he gets, the more touches he gets on offense," Phillips said. "Then you want somebody else back there on kickoff returns."
Kevin Ogletree is the most likely candidate to fill the kickoff return role. Tashard Choice is another option.
Phillips expressed confidence in second-year TE Martellus Bennett, who has made a minimal impact in the passing game.
The 6-6, 265-pound Bennett displayed impressive playmaking ability during training camp. He made several acrobatic catches downfield in the Alamodome. But Bennett has only nine catches for 90 yards this season. He had two drops against the Eagles.
"We saw some great things from him early," Phillips said. "We haven't seen it lately, but I still think that we will."
