No, not exactly. Some of you don't understand the psychology of football at all. Remember the last time this happened to us? We were eliminated just before the start of the game and we played one of the most inept, dispirited football games ever.
Yeah, it's against the Cowboys. Whoopee. Guys, they'll have just seen their playoff chances go up in smoke and you actually think they'll play a hard, focused game?
Give me a break. No, the thing you have to be VERY concerned about is the Raiders winning. The Raiders haven't had much to play for a quite a while, so they don't have to overcome any kind of shock about not making the playoffs. They will be focused, they will be ready, they will want to win their final game. On the other hand, the Bucs have to be reeling -- they just saw their chance to make the playoffs get dashed by their own inept performance against San Diego. Why in the HECK does anyone think
they are going to play hard?
You folks really need to think things through. The ONLY reason the Bucs might find a way to get fired up for this game (at least on defense) is because they're losing their beloved defensive coordinator after the season and will want to send him out on a good note (especially after their pitiful displays the last couple of weeks).
But that's a reach. Anyone who thinks the Raiders winning this game should be viewed as an upset just doesn't know what the heck they're talking about. I FULLY expect the Raiders to win that game.
