Taking Sweed prior to a mid-late 2nd round is a gamble I don't think Dallas can afford.

He had a good Jr year, and was a big reason a Frosh QB like McCoy had the TD to INT and completion #'s he did year before last.

His absence, along with WO Billy Pittman's lack of playing time last year, IMO, was the reason McCoy struggled.

I am not impressed with the WRs in this years draft. I really don't want the Boys spending a 1st round pick on any one of them. They all have question marks and none of them has distinguished themselves from everybody else. I don't think there is any WR worth a 1st round value.

I will be happier if they take a WR late in the 2nd or even in the 3rd round. There is better value there. I will be happy with someone like, Eddie Royal, Earl Bennett, Keenan Burton, Andre Caldwell, or Jordy Nelson.

Sweed is pretty rare for a guy coming out at that size because he DOES have that extra gear and burst. He also WAS big playmaker, made a lot of HUGE plays in college. He needs to polish up his route running but other than that he'd good to go. He doesn't have GREAT hands but above average hands, fighting for a jump ball he'll win some, lose some, unlike a Randy Moss. But there aren't many guys like that.

I used to consider him a poor man's Dwayne Jarrett. But he's faster and has more burst than Jarrett(what will keep Jarrett from making it big in the league)..but his hands aren't quite as good as Jarrett. But Jarrett's lack of speed and burst is a deal breaker while just having above average hands aren't.
