TNew was the most consistent CB in the game for the last 5 years according to Joyner. APollo your hero Bailey stinks about every other year. ANd he has always given up more plays then he makes- which is what happens to Every CB who plays that way. NO one, and he came closest, who is a gambler at CB is going to do even as good as 50% on his gambles.
Now Green truly was a physical freak by being able to maintain his speed almost to 40. And he was NOT a gambler much- he was more like Newman in that respect. He covered WRs, not trying to make BSPN highlight reels.

Terence Newman is lightyears ahead of Champ Bailey. Got it.

Have you taken a second to imagine what kind of pass rush Newman has versus Champ? Or are we just going to use everything Joyner says as the gospel from now on.

Bailey's pass rush has been pretty consistent in it's performance since he's been in the league. Bailey's personal performance has been all over the place. He has fluctuated from good to bad to great to bad again. He's simply not a consistent player.

Is Newman the new Darrel Green of football? A quiet, unassuming professional that is top tier but often unheralded for his work?

Lets hope he plays as long as Green did......

No appolo and our pass rush has not been consistent either= it sucked for a number of years. BUT then to someone who has been only around for a couple of years like you...

Us fans who have been around for a while remember when we were getting only 30 sacks a year if that. Last year was the first one since Newman has been here that we were league leaders in sacks- OR EVEN CLOSE TO IT.

Yeah, we can write off most of his nonsense as just that - nonsense, but to seriously put Orakpo on the list over a proven veteran in Osi is outright insanity.

Can you imagine having Osi and DWare on our front 7? gross!

I actually don't mind what they do with the rest of the list, though the Orakpo thing is confusing as heck.
