He has 2 rings. I wouldn't pay it but the case can be made he should get more than any of the recent big deals like Cam and Rivers.

Imo the elite and most skilled passers are:

1. Rodgers

2. Brady

3. P. Manning

4. Breese

5. Romo

6. Rivers


Big gap between 6 & 7 but 7 is still very skilled as a passer.


7. Eli

After that it's a bunch of guys I dont really worry about them being capable of beating me unless their whole team plays well.

1-7 are the true passing assassins of the NFL.

As a pure passer, I don't see Eli as any better than Ryan, Flacco, or Stafford. Maybe others too. And he throws about the same rate of picks as Cutler.
And Ben might be better than all of that group.
The man threw for nearly 5000 yards and only had 9 ints last year. Outstanding.

Eli is a middle of the pack QB. 2nd best year of his career...and he was 15th rated.

Rivers is right up there at the top. I hope to God the Giants match that or even better, top it.

I've always thought Rivers was underrated. He obviously doesn't have a ring, but he's oftentimes left out of top tier QB discussions when he shouldn't be, in my opinion.

Although 65 mill guaranteed does seem kinda steep at this stage of the game. His play could be fallin off here soon.

Rivers is a really good QB, just below elite status IMO. Ranked in there with Romo, Ben and maybe Brees(never thought he was at Brady or Manning level).

Tony and Phillip are pretty even but we won't hear much negativity about the guaranteed money. Now, if Romo got that dough........it would be a two-month story ripping him. Wait, we did hear it awhile back
