I saw this ESPN vote on what the nation thinks about extending Romo.

I think the results are skewed because of the polarity the Cowboys have with the nation. I think a more reliable poll would be to poll Cowboys fans.

Unfortunately... I have no idea how to start a poll on here. Maybe I just simply can't. So if somebody can we should vote.

I am curious how it would turn out.

I'm all for extending Romo, but not for 6 years. 3 years would have been better. Then again I have no idea how his contract works out, so I'm not sure I'm in the right place to judge.

I think we should all stop looking at the 6 And 108. It's basically a 3-4 year deal for 55 million. Either he retires after we win a Super Bowl or we move on. Either way he's here to stY

Other than some blind homers in Dallas and on the forum. everyone knows it was a bad idea. every state, even Texas knows it was stupid. poll is no shock to me.

I don't think there's any question that if you walked the streets of Dallas, the polls would be more or less like these. The average fan on the street has fell for the media okey doke that the quarterback is 100% responsible for wins and losses, so Romo will bear the brunt of the Cowboys lack of success lately. I saw some of the local news interviewing the fan on the street and it pretty much confirmed it. There are lots of fans on the street who genuinely think Romo is the worst QB in the league (even the worst Romo hater on this board would grudgingly give Romo top 25 or maybe top 20 status).

The average fan on the street doesn't want Romo back on a contract of any length, even for free.

I did not want him back because the Cowboys are not going to win anything with with. he is a stat guy and a choker. matters not what team you put around this guy, he will find a way to lose.that's who he is. Jerry just set this team back years again.

I know facebook fans are very against Romo. However, on this website I feel like he has more support. I guess I would just rather see a poll from here.

Did they make a Flacco poll as well? ( Spare me the "He won a Super Bowl" garbage. He was vastly overpaid as well )

Because 99.9% of the people who voted in this poll have no idea how Romo's contract is really set up this poll is nothing but a gigantic FAIL.

He won the super Bowl. and he threw 11 TD's and 0 picks in the playoffs. and he won super Bowl MVP. Romo has never even come close to doing that. he has won 1 playoff game since he was a junior in high school.

cowboyvic, try breathing through your nose. Takes a bit of practice but it's well worth it.

The real problem with this poll is that most pollsters have no clue as to what the contract entails, how it affects the Cowboys' salary cap and the odds of the Cowboys doing well in 2013 with either Kyle Orton or a rookie QB in the draft.

My only concern is that they may delay finding a replacement for Romo. They really need to groom a QB starting this year or next.

As a member myself, if you are going to go from thread to thread posting stuff like this then at least give us some reasons why so we can debate you. Or start a thread yourself about how much you dislike Romo and why. Then you can post in it as much as you like. If it gets debate fine and if not then it will float away on the wind quickly.
