IRVING, Texas – The Dallas Cowboys battled through injuries through most of training camp, but they are getting healthier as the regular season approaches. The only players not taking part in Thursday’s practice are defensive end Anthony Spencer and offensive tackle Darrion Weems, each of whom will not play in Sunday’s opener against the San Francisco 49ers. Tony Romo was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice and coach Jason Garrett said the quarterback was feeling good Thursday.

That's great to hear. Sounds like Selvie and T. McClain will be able to play even if it's a few reps. Would like to see Spencer start practicing since he is taking up a roster spot by saying he would be ready week 1. It's here time too go buddy

also saw The first-team linebackers Thursday in drills were Rolando McClain in the middle, Justin Durant at weak-side linebacker and Bruce Carter at strong side

Think Carter is going to make a real impact on the strong side. RBs feared this guy in 2012 up against the LOS.

I felt this would be the unit to start the season with Durant, McClain and Carter. Looking forward to seeing how they operate as a unit.

Im really hoping McClain has his head on right and can make a impact and stick with this team for years. I would love to see Lee playing the WILL

No one ever said Spencer would be ready week 1. Spencer has said himself that he HOPES to start doing individual drills by week 2 or 3. Maybe start team practice by week 4. Meaning we shouldn't expect to see him anytime before week 5.

Why he was not put on PUP or IR is Jerry being Jerry.

Never know but I do understand his actions when you feel as if your life is headed down the tubes to get your life back in order. It seems he has but you never know. Frankly I'm not even concerned with it, I have the feeling he is where he belongs and that is playing ball again.

I hear ya man but as players get older it takes their bodies that much longer to recover and feel better, besides why risk a career ending injury on meaningless games? Preseason is a tryout for rookies and scrubs..

I agree but I also think given the nagging injuries that persisted all last year that the Cowboys and Garrett tried to show caution. Frankly I don't blame him.

Exactly, we are paper thin on talent much less healthy starters...

Just read on rotoworld:
Cowboys NT Terrell McClain (high-ankle sprain) remains sidelined, but "hopes" to return for Week 2.
The Cowboys' presumptive nose tackle has been sidelined three weeks. Nick Hayden appears poised to get the start in his absence. Dallas' defense is almost comically undermanned heading into Week 1.

DL who can work into the game are fine as it was supposed to be a rotation anyway.
With Ware gone I am not sure we even notice as others come and go.
Selvie or Mincey to me is basically the same guy.
