they've traded jones to the jets, Benson's the man now. A Benson/Peterson combo would be nice. Im interested if they are trying to position for Brady Quinn, whether they stay pat, or trade up.

According to ESPN Radio in New York the Bears have traded LB Lance Briggs and the 31st overall selection to the Washington Commanders for the 6th overall and LB Lemar Marshall. Take it for what its worth

I heard that as well but could not figure it out.

I was under the impression that when there were trade talks going that Briggs agent and the Skins basically had a deal in place.

However with the media today and speculation being more important to them than actual news...who knows.
