I like the dedication to staying in shape for the month he is away.

Hopefully we can hold down the fort until he returns.

outside of him have there really been behavioral issues on that team? I just get a sense there is more accountability in NE locker room. Its debatable if that starts with Brady or Belichick or you can even make it a case that it starts with Kraft. Dallas on other hand has guys who just stop playing because they want to (see Ratliff), Scandrick get suspension at time when defense really needed things to start going their way and on top of this we now have re-emergence of Josh Brent because Dallas is so desperate. Another guy making a bad decision.

Have the Cowboys had behaviorial issues? I can't think of the last time a player was suspended before Scandrick. You can say a lot of things about this team.....but the Cowboys have done reasonably well in regards to players behavior on the field and outside of it.

Just curious, Bullflop, and I always attempt conversation first...

How do you, yourself, see the Dallas secondary and do you have a projection upon that specific positional group?

OK, lemme see now & thanks for asking --

At CB -- Carr, Claiborne, Moore, Mitchell, Patmon (Scandrick out for 4 games w/Patmon to be waived upon his return.)
At Safety -- Church, Wilcox, Dixon, Hamilton

Good group. You like some young guys strongly. It is kind of striking that a trio of cornerbacks now would included: Moore, Mitchell, and Patmon. Who would have even thought prior to camp?

What is a little perplexing, was that Heath has fallen completely out of a picture. I really like the directions with Church, Wilcox, and Dixon.

Hamilton has tempted with talent a while now...and I hope his finely tuned skill set continues to go professiona.

He screwed up, but i have a hard time calling this a behavioral issue.

He’ll also do defensive back drills and catch tennis balls out of a machine.
Tennis balls? Why not a football jugs machine? Perhaps he focuses on speed and coordination. The smaller size of the tennis balls would be helpful in that way. In my opinion, a defensive back should always work on catching footballs to improve their odds of intercepting passes. There are few things that irritate me more than to see a defensive back succeed in getting himself in position to catch a pass and promptly drop the ball. Then again, the old saying that defensive backs aren't wide receivers because they can't catch never losses its charm.

I agree concerning Hamilton. There's a good skillset to be had with him. Claiborne, Carr and Church are no-brainers, imho. Claiborne must continue doing what he has so far in camp, minus the absence and Carr simply needs to earn his fat paycheck.

Moore, Mitchell and Patmon are all fairly exemplary of the youth movement and "next man up" thing. I think Patmon is a temporary fix right now to fill a CB spot for the loss of Scandrick. He'll likely be waived upon his return. (PS, perhaps?)

Obviously I'm thinking it's time for some young blood to get their feet wet in the secondary. Dixon and Mitchell represent that. With regards to Heath, he might be granted a spot for his ST & tackling ability but his pass coverage troubles me. Would added experience help? Not so sure.

I'm liking your snapshot. I'm thinking that it is about time that two ringers at cornerback and safety are brought up. This camp has really perked my interest there, but alas, I'm a linebacker guy. So, I'll just have to listen a little bit more to thoughts on the secondary.

Some good calls, Bullflop...and thank you.

Cas is the fine tuned eye in the secondary.
