I only recently discovered riddick, looking through his tweets he's definitely one of the most insightful analysts I've come across. Who are some other analysts you follow that are former nfl scouts/coaches who clearly watch tape as he does?

I follow alot of folks, but I just came across him, as well. I follow the usual that everyone knows. But I'll be on the lookout if I have any that I don't see many here tweet about.

That's impossible -- he just called Dez the most gifted WR in the entire NFL. That's what I thought too, but I keep getting told on this board that no one holds a candle to Calvin Johnson. I'm so confused.

Well he has some twitter followers who believe CJ is the best, so those CZ members aren't alone.

I still just don't see it. I love Dez. I think he's top 3 talent in the league.I think he could be the best WR in the game soon, but I just don't see him being more physically gifted than Julio Jones/Calvin Johnson. It's not a huge gap or anything between Dez and those two, in fact I'd say that Julio is only very slightly more gifted.

everyone seems to be missing the all-around descriptor. I think that Witten is most complete TE in the league but he will not put the numbers of Graham, maybe Gates, or Gonzo when it comes to TDs. He is a better blocker, better route runner, he just does not score.

Stop it.

I know this a Cowboys Board, and we love Dez.

Right now he is barely in Calvins rear view, and Dez is my favorite wr.

I would place him at number 2 maybe number 3 behind Calvin, but he is not touching Calvin, yet.

Dez is as physically gifted as any WR in the league, there's not a catch he cant make. I dont think there's any debate to be had there. Looking at the numbers their first 3 seasons as a base, they hardly suggest that Dez is barely in Calvin's rear view.

Calvin - 193 recs. 3071 rec. yds, 21 tds

Dez - 200 recs. 2,871 rec. yds, 27 tds

We could go back and forth all day but those are the numbers. I think the picture will be even clearer this upcoming season with Dez primed to be targeted the same way other No. 1 WR's in the league are targeted by their QB's.

I believe Dez can get there as the best. Right now with Calvins Exp, and body of work, he is not there with him yet.

This season, he can get next to him, maybe a slight chance he passes him as best, depending on body of work.

I do believe in maybe 2-3 years he will be better

Wow, I didn't know Dez's numbers were that close to Calvin. Thanks for the post!
