i just was watching espn's nfl live and they spent minutes bagging on Darren woodson for being a homer because he picked the cowboys to win the east....The dark haired woman who was hosting was pointing at woodson and saying your the biggest homer...the cowboys they are the worst...

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?

When did broadcast tv start using lingo from message board losers? I thought the only people who used the term homer were the dopes who jump from message board to message board attacking anyone who dares to like anything about their team all the while spending more time than anyone complaining about the team they supposedly like?

Its an espn host thing also? Is this common, I never watch espn. Amazing you are not even allowed to say good things about the cowboys on tv even you are a 3x super bowl champion and the organizations all time leading tackler.

how dumb and typical.

The Cowboys should win the East. Let me guess . Most of them picked the Eagles? It seems like they do that every year and then have to eat crow every year too.

This year will be fun. I'm quite sure. I love the winning but, the change of attitudes of the realists on this site is enjoyable.

I'll have to take note of these ESPN guys attitudes as well.

Good to see ESPN still thinking 3 years ahead. Way to be positive, you guys.

Yeah lol...I didn't know they still covered the NFL? When the Cowboys occasionally play on that channel, what is it Monday night football??? I have to go to my computer and lookup what channel they are on.

Monday night football used to be great!

Lol espn is right though. Expect the same weak pass rush weve had for the past 3 years. We dont have the players

ESPN or not, can't really argue with anything they said. I don't like it but I can't say they are out of bounds with anything they said. :(

You don't even have to be a dummy to predict "no future" for the team considering its past history of failure for more than twenty years, ergo, who really cares what they say?

Just keep building the defense and then the new QB, whoever he is, won't have to perform miracles.

This team is prime for a young QB you got an offensive line to give you the time you need and soon a defense that can give you support.
I say give Dak all the Reps you can give him and let him loose.
If he doesn't show anything well we'll have the perfect pic to find a franchise QB

Until we find a QB we have no future. It's that simple.

Pretty much this.

Our future lives and dies with Romo.

This is why I wanted Carson Wentz..

So many of our players will be in their prime years and we're going to have to spend 2 or 3 years developing a rookie?

We had a chance to get out in front of this and we didn't do it. We drafted a dime a dozen position instead of the most important position in football.

they are pretty much right after romo the cowboys with the qb they have now don't have much of a future. if the cowboys don't win soon with tony then it may be a long time more before they win again with another qb

They criticize the front office, lack of a pass rush, Romo's injury history, and not having a good plan in place for his eventual successor. Pretty solid points overall.

Solid but when you have the youngest and best offensive line in the league....that goes a long way. And your pass rush is Gregory and Lawrence who are question marks but are young as well. They are offbase.

As if Brees, Brady, Eli, all in their late 30's have proven backups behind them. As hard as it was for Romo to shake the choker label, it seems to now be replaced with the always injured label. I personally like the whole underdog thing.

ESPN isn't necessarily wrong here no matter how much people want to ***** and complain about them.

This team is one Romo hit from being 4-12 again. They don't have a good enough defense to compensate for the loss of Romo and the notion that Elliott, a rookie, can somehow pick up the slack if Romo goes down is downright hilarious.

The ranking was also based on front offices, coaches, etc.

So yeah, Brady is old........... but the Pats have Belicheck and the Saints have a SB winning coach. We have Jason Garrett. One playoff appearance in 6 seasons. So yeah, I could see how the Pats would be viewed as being in a better spot for the next 3 years than us.

What happens if Romo stays healthy all season, we win like 11 games, get in the playoffs and Romo goes down and calls it quits? How do we get a QB high then? I can hear them now.."we're rolling with Dak"..

ESPN sees? Wonder if they saw this before last year in regards to the layoffs....

"The layoffs are seen as both a reaction to, and preparation for, wrenching changes in the cable television business. Cable channels like ESPN, which depend on subscriber fees, have been pinched by the small but growing number of viewers unsubscribing.

The network is also fenced in by long-term licensing deals with the NFL, NBA and other sports leagues. The costs of sports rights have soared in recent years as multiple networks have competed to carry live games.

Back in August ESPN's parent company, Disney, reduced its profit growth expectations for the network, citing these marketplace challenges. "

Yeah, it seems the Cowboys are the only team in the league criticized for not grooming a young qb. Nevermind The fact the groomed QB is one of the biggest myths out there. But yea, who's being groomed in New Orleans, or San Diego? Maybe the guy behind Brady, but still who knows
