The Cowboys should win the East. Let me guess . Most of them picked the Eagles? It seems like they do that every year and then have to eat crow every year too.
This year will be fun. I'm quite sure. I love the winning but, the change of attitudes of the realists on this site is enjoyable.
I'll have to take note of these ESPN guys attitudes as well.
As if Brees, Brady, Eli, all in their late 30's have proven backups behind them. As hard as it was for Romo to shake the choker label, it seems to now be replaced with the always injured label. I personally like the whole underdog thing.
Yeah, it seems the Cowboys are the only team in the league criticized for not grooming a young qb. Nevermind The fact the groomed QB is one of the biggest myths out there. But yea, who's being groomed in New Orleans, or San Diego? Maybe the guy behind Brady, but still who knows
They criticize the front office, lack of a pass rush, Romo's injury history, and not having a good plan in place for his eventual successor. Pretty solid points overall.

It's hilarious watching some get all pissy over this. Especially when, if you put your blue and silver goggles aside, isn't that ridiculous of a claim by them.
We have a QB who is coming off back surgery two years ago and then broke his collar bone twice last year.
We have a front office that has spent the last 20 years tinkering and re-tinkering with the roster with no real clear plan for much of that period that has resulted in no NFC Champ game appearances since the mid 90s.
We have a head coach that has 6 seasons under his belt and is a .500 coach with only one playoff appearance on his resume.
Let's put it another way. If this was how they described the Eagles or Commanders, most of you all pissy now would be nodding your heads in agreement.

Everyone always looking for the negatives and no one looks at the positives.
The FO will be criticized forever. Jerry will never get no matter what he does....win the SB..it's Jimmy, win with Barry, it's Jimmy's team still.....lose it is Jerry...win a SB soon, it's in spite of Jerry.
The Giants are barely ranked ahead of the Cowboys, and probably because they are seen as having a better front office/GM. So, no, the Cowboys aren't the only team in the league being criticized/ranked low for their future QB situation even though their current QB still seems more than capable. If you don't have a viable QB plan already in place for your 35+ year old QB your ranking is gonna get torpedoed on lists like this. There's nothing right now to give anyone confidence that either Kellen or Dak are viable solutions. It's one reason why the Skins and Eagles are ranked higher than the Giants and Cowboys...the Commanders have a viable QB who will be in his prime years over the next three seasons and the Eagles have (on paper anyway) a more viable QB to develop than Moore and Prescott, and whoever the Giants have behind Eli lol...
And just a reminder, "power rankings"--whether they are about the upcoming season or about the upcoming 3 seasons--are not predictions on how well each team will do, they are just snapshot rankings right now that compare all the teams to each other based on whatever criteria they are ranking. Just like with usual power rankings that change week to week, this ranking could and will change from one offseason to another.
Are you a happy person?
Do you ever look at any thing of good stuff. This is a new season, the past is the past.
Can't disagree with some of your post, but there are some circumstance that come into play on some others too. Those adversely effect outcomes. Like try how many injury plagued seasons have derailed us.
Not going to change the owner, and the FO is getting better at what they are doing with the cap and the draft. So look at what is in front of us, not the rear view mirror.
I do not recall you ever posting something positive. Try it. Go look for something good to say.
I am happy all of the time. See, I am able to separate my real life, which is important, from my sports fan life, which in the grand scheme of things is pretty meaningless.
I call it like I see it. The Cowboys have a very small margin of error currently, they have a lot of question marks, and it's not surprising that anyone who isn't biased like you are would look out 3-4 years and not exactly see sugar plums and roses for the Cowboys. It's actually fairly logical.
I'm glad ESPN doubts us.. 2014, they said we could possibly be the worst team in our division.. 12-4 later..
ESPN is just like the media talking politics.. B.S.
Until we find a QB we have no future. It's that simple.
I think some have forgotten this.
Still, this is longer term and not about this season. I assume they mean 5 years out.
Seeing that Dallas has one of the youngest rosters in the NFL, I guess it must be all about a future plan at QB. Haven't look at the ratings, but they should also be discounting all the teams who don't have a sure thing backup but have a QB that won't be playing 5 years from now. SD, NO, NYG, AZ, PIT, etc.
Didn't they also factor in things like coaches, etc? It shouldn't be shocking that Garrett doesn't exactly instill confidence in people.
