IRVING, Texas -- Defensive end George Selvie considers his performance in the Dallas Cowboys’ season opener to be the standard for himself. Selvie, a four-year veteran playing for his fourth NFL team, made a major impact as a fill-in starter for Anthony Spencer. Selvie had a sack, two quarterback pressures and a fumble recovery in the win over the New York Giants, with his two biggest plays both coming in the red zone. “I think I can play at that level on a consistent basis as long as I stay healthy,” said Selvie, who was unemployed all offseason and didn’t sign with the Cowboys until Spencer needed arthroscopic knee surgery during the first week of training camp.Continue reading...
