I can understand not liking Jerry as a GM, or not liking some of the things he's done, and mistakes have certainly been made by the handfuls. But he's a man who truly loves the game, the league, and most of all the team and his players. Yes, he loves the money and the prestige as well, but as he grows his revenues the league grows with them. These are accomplished, stubborn, competitive men telling these 7 stories, and only 1 of them still cashes his checks. Pretty powerful to listen to their words.
The NFL and this team's standing as an organization wouldn't be what it is today without him, and for that he deserves respect. Jerry Jones will be remembered as a football man, and I can't help but think he's proud as h*** of that. The reins are being handed off to his kin, but as he's entering the final stretch I hope this team can win one for him (and us). Will McClay please get us the final players to do that!
