Wentz-mania has taken over Philly and the NFL.

Carson Wentz, the Eagles' first-rounder and the second overall pick, took down the Bears on Monday night, becoming just the fifth rookie QB to start the season 2-0.

Wentz is off to a fast start, but he's not alone. Several of the NFL's first-year stars have made fans take notice.

After drafting QB after QB, most recently Johnny Manziel, then signing RG3 to big money, which actually led them to trade the pick that turned into Carson Wentz.

I am starting to think the Giants are going to have a very good defense this year.

I love Dak but based on all of the data we have, Wentz has been better. He has less talent around him and has really looked good. Now this can all change within a week or two.

Wentz has less talent around him but he plays in a much more QB-fiendly offense than Dak, sad to say.

Maybe that can be said in years last but I feel that Linehan/Garrett did a nice job building this offense around him. They're not expecting him to be Tony Romo like they expected Cassel/Weeden to be, they're letting him be Dak Prescott with the play action rollouts and the zone reads.

Regardless, neither qb has been greatly challenged yet but Prescott has been challenged more and has succeeded. I'm excited to see what the future brings.

I don't think either Zeke or Dak will get any rookie awards.

And the reasoning will be the same as when Demarco and Tony finished 2nd and 3rd in MVP voting.

Wentz has had the spotlight now.

He's played well and deserves it thus far.

But I think a big reason why he's leading other than playing decently on MNF, is because it's such a new story.
