ESPN is not the only one that had 4-6 wins. Hell, even fans on this forum that think they know everything have them at that number or less! lol

Prior to the start of the season, I figured we'd end up 9-7 or 10-6 because of the improved oline and a weak nfc east. After the first game, I thought we'd be lucky to win 6 games. I was one of those that thought Romo was finished because of his back. Now, regardless of what happens next week in Seattle, I think we can legitimately win 10 to 11 games.

they were wrong in the beginning why would they have all the answers now. those ranks mean nothing. go back any year and you will see
I get your point, but I would think rankings 1/3 into the season mean a lot more than rankings before games have been played.

I appreciate the OP, but frankly I didn't care when we ranked low in preseason or ranked high now. Back in the day I followed this closely each week but then I figured out it gave the mouthpieces more to blah blah blah about.

Clove, I don't know what your prediction was. If you want to tell us, that's fine also. It does not really matter in the grand scheme of things.

But, what I like about this team is something that I picked up on. A motto of sorts..."don't think about the team in front of you, think about your team"....which is something I think the Cowboys are learning.

IMO, they are not really worried or thinking about the reputation of the next team they play, but to think about their own reputation that they have earned. Seattle is waiting for the Cowboys.
Okay, good post.

If Dallas wins in Seattle it will be creamy gravy. I don't expect them to beat the current champs in their house - and I don't think they have to in order to win the NFC East. But wouldn't it be awesome if the Cowboys DID prevail?

I'm kind of scared of what would happen if we did win. I'm pretty sure that Garrett would have the team keep a level head but could you imagine the media hype if we won this game?

Rankings don't mean diddly squat in the NFL. They're an NCAA thing (called the polls). I don't listen when we're ranked poorly and I don't listen when we're ranked well. It's about wins and losses.

I think those were all reasonable predictions and thoughts based on the information available at the time. I think the people that saw us as a 4 or 5 win team before the season were off base. It's a long season, and anything can still happen, but we look like a solid 10 win team with the potential to win or lose a couple more (between 9 and 11 wins is most likely IMO). Hopefully, we surprise people and pull off a 12-win season and have some home playoff games. We need to take care of business in our division like last year. That, and health, are critical to the team's success. Fingers crossed...

Mike and Mike said Dallas deserves to be higher and will when they go to Seattle and win. Funny how they had us ranked 28 3 weeks ago now we beating their number 1 team.

We will be number 1 when we beat Seattle

Realistically, I really don't expect to win in Seattle. I would be pleasantly surprised, but not expecting it. Seattle plays exceptional at home with the 12 man. Against the defending SB team in probably the most hostile stadium in the league and it will probably be 50 mile an hour winds with the Cowboys luck. I'd just be happy if they played well.

Don't care for rankings, never did. Top this, top that...all subject to opinions which may or may not have some bias in them.

However I did like the top 10 catches from last week. They got that right with Dez's catch. TWill's was at #5 I think, but that was more a result of the entire play, not so much the catch itself.

I'll take Romo's arm over Wilson with high winds. But then again, Wilson can take off running too.
Any weather forcast? not that it menas squat right now, it will change.
