You really need to watch Jaws more. He's horrendous. He's not as bad as some of the other experts, but his praise for being this football wiz kid (not by you, but other people) is ridiculous.
For starters, he will praise just about any QB in the league, no matter how bad they are...as long as they don't play for the Cowboys. Actually the latter, while annoying, isn't nearly as bad as him praising guys like Rex Grossman. The worst was watching a Bears v. Colts *preseason* game where Grossman started off with 3 fumbles and an INT and when he makes one good throw for a first down, Jaws went on to praise Grossman, how great of a game he was playing and what a great year he was going to have. Even Tirico had to question Jaws. Grossman later on was benched that year. But, he does that all of the time...as long as it's not a Cowboys QB.
When Romo became the starter in 2006, Jaws' analysis of Romo was that he had to be lucky because 'he has been uncanny by making the right read every time.' No, that's not lucky...that's what a QB is supposed to do.
But what is probably most obnoxious about Jaws is that he's a guy that is more style over subtance and likes to use his own catchphrases. Like the time Trey Wingo was talking about how amazing it is that Romo can throw the ball from different angles and Jaws actually stopped Wingo and said 'you call them different angles, but *I* refer to them as throwing from different platforms.'
He's one of the biggest reasons why I don't watch ESPN unless it's a MNF game with Dallas or some big MNF that I want to see and why I just stick with NFLN.
