Was SLOW. She wasnt a normal anchor either. Does she not know hes playing injured??? Not only did Lee Evans (his legend was he ran the fastest 40 time ever while at Wisconsin, a 4.1) but 4.7, 40, Anthony Thomas ran him down too? That tells you everything you need to know about Newman, hes still hurt but being a warrior and playing through it. I would of loved to see him and Evans when he is at full speed. Both are track stars and can fly.

It's amazing that people don't realize the guy is playing injured. A healthy T-New never would've been caught.

On the nosey.

No how, no way, he gets caught if he's healthy

...for being injured. He had great burst on the pick and took off on everyone at the start.

About 15 steps before he was caught my son noted on the replay that he was looking back almost a tip off that he was losing speed.

I don't think the issue with his foot is completely over yet.

I don't think I want to risk having him on punt returns this season at all.

The bad thing is that Randy Moss is licking his chops right now. No way we can cover him with TNew alone while he isn't 100%.

Watch it again, he didn't turn it on till it was too late. Not sure what he was thinking..

Evans still might had caught him. Dont know if you heard about his legend when he played in College about how fast he was, but ATrain absolutly not. Evans I beileved stayed at Wisconsin for 6 years. He blew his knee twice and redshirted. Before he blew his knee the first time, I remember reading he would of been consenses number 1 pick if he came out after his Sophmore year. However, he was too young to be eligible and blew his knee in practice the next season.

Oh, please. You could tell he wasn't running fast. TNew takes that to the house easily if he was 100 percent.

Lee Evans isnt exactly a slouch.

When both healthy that's a toss up. But you could tell Newman isnt at 100% yet.

When I saw him make that pick and start running, I just knew he was going to score. I was really suprised that he was caught from behind, that injury must be more serious than I thought.

I rewatched it again and Newman either started hot doging it or got tired. Around the 50 yard line he considerablly really slows down. The first 40 he was moving good. Watch it agaion and look for it. Does anyone have any soundbites or interviews with him after the game about this??

I'm guessing he got tired. The defense had been on the field entirely too much in this game and it's his first game back as a starting corner. He just ran out of steam.

Jeremiah Ratliff had good speed on that play.

I thought the same thing. to be the first one down there to recover the fumble was amazing for a guy his size.
