lol, Taylor is a deadly hitter...when he doesn't whiff...or run away from the ball carrier.

One person's opinion. That doesn't make it true so it means nothing. Any list of the league's hardest hitters that doesn't include Williams is quite rediculous if you ask me. I'm not sure there has ever been a player that knocked more people out of games than Williams. I know the whole league tried to knock Emmitt Smith out for over 10 years and never could but Willliams did it in the first game he faced him in.

He doesn't whiff very often. He leads the league in tackles for a safety...

I agree here. But not about Emmitt Smith, when you get enough hits on somebody over the course of a 10+ year career, and you get hit wrong, you're bound to break something. Somebody was going to do it eventually. Injuries are more of a circumstantial type of thing IMO. But Williams does deserve to be up there. Didn't he get plowed by Brandon Jacobs though?

Brian Dawkins is a huge hitter as in top five?

Well, he's famous for the supplex he does on poor receivers because they just caught the ball and are upright. Doesn't take too much strength (for a professional athlete) IMO but there it is.

Sorry, misunderstanding... Because everyone whiffs on occasion...
I'm pretty sure he lead the league in missed tackles.

Roy hit Jacobs at the goaline and made him fumble, don't recall Roy getting plowed by Jacobs as you say.

Oh please....I hope this thread isn't heading down the dreaded "Who's better? Roy or Taylor" road.

This has been done to death.

That may be so, I really don't remember. It was an honest question.

Okay... And the basis for this is?
Actually, he set a league record of 19 missed tackles in a single season.

The stat isn't official, but it's measured by STATS, LLC which is a company that compiles stats for ESPN, FoxSports, NFL.com, and many other media companies. Their missed tackle stats aren't available to the public, but they're available to individuals with access, such as the media and sports organizations.

One of the posters here has access to the stats and posted it.

That makes Sean Taylor one of the worst safeties in the history of the league, at least in one respect.

But emmitt was hit in the chest and broke his shoulder blade. As for taylor he looks for the big hit too much instead of going for the sure tackle that is why he misses a lot of tackles.

lol. Yeah from the 1 yard line, if that is plowed over.

And by the way williams in 05 from the two yard line not only stood him up but stripped the ball, and this season ware stood him up on a 4th and 1.

So bad example try again.

I hope not, I thought it was a bad list (Julius Peppers, Brian Dawkins) and obviously Cowboys fans want Roy on there, but who else?
