If we got rid of everyone a talking head says we should, we would be left with practically nobody. *YAWN*
I think there are QBs out there with more heart but nowhere near the talent (Jeff Garcia being one).

I am NOT saying bring in Garcia to be the starter... just wish Romo would quit being so "*shrug* Oh well, could be worse" about things. It's a pisspoor attitude for the starting QB and team leader to have. If being starter and leader is too much for him to handle then he should tell Jerry to bring in somebody else and he'll settle for being a backup

Hey, if being a backup in the NFL is the worst thing that ever happens...

The way he talks after the game, I think he'd be better suited to play for Detrit since it's OK whether he wins or loses.

You know Romo said this exact same quote last year after the Giants game and no one said a word. In fact some folks, media included, actually used it as an example of his composure and perspective.

I think people are blowing this way out of proportion, and mostly because, unlike last year, he didn't play very well this year because of the injuries.

Undrafted free agents don't become starting NFL QBs because they are weak or have no drive to win. Tony is not some ultra-gifted athlete who breezed through a top college program, was drafted early and handed a starting spot.

I do think he has lost some of his discipline this year - the whole team has - but everyone knows Romo is one of the hardest working guys on the team too.

Cut the guy some slack. The guy was out there playing in a ton of pain, and no one is acknowledging that either.

Before I rid the team of the best QB it has had since Aikman, I might surround him with better attitudes and coaching then see if he steps up.
It wouldn't hurt to bring in another QB cabable of pushing Romo either.

And on the same note... split that post down the middle... 50-50.... Romo needs to improve his attitude and decisions.

Every think that TO and RW and other offensive players want Romo to make better decisions?

Did you see the RW clip "we are better than 9-7".... he threw Romo under the bus too.

It is what it is.

I just want the product on paper to execute on the field.

So throw RW into this mix. It doesn't matter. Crappy attitude crappy results.
Sad part is he has shown to suck really really bad so far.:laugh2:
He should just be quiet, for now.

Romo is too talented to give up on, but drafting a QB early or the middle rounds at latest is probably the right thing to do. It would be a not so subtle message to him and would also be good insurance within a yr or two that if Romo doesnt start improving and doing all the little things he needs to do, they have an option waiting.

Is a QB is available in the 2nd round (yes our FIRST pick thanks to the dumb trade) and it worth the pick, I'd take him.

Romo is a guy who never takes himself or anything else too seriously, so why people are surprised at his latest calm, almost flippant comment, is beyond me

if you want to find a source of angst on the roster, you will have to look elsewhere

Garrett spent alot of time working out Chad Henne last yr and really liked him, I wouldnt be surprised if one of our early picks is a QB this yr. And of course its well documented we were going to draft JD Booty but Minny got him before we could pick.

I havent spent enough time looking at the draft yet to have any idea who that might be, but I do think we get somebody.

I'd also like us to bring in a veteran backup.

Is there a Leftwich available this year? I certainly hope JJ doesn't think Bollinger is worth a crap.

It's kind of stupid to suggest the Cowboys get rid of Romo.

He really needs a strong head coach, position coach or coordinator who will protect him with a running game and allow him to be a manager until he fully matures.

He has enough talent and raw skills that you can work with. But it's the job of the coach to assess where he is in his career and structure an offensive scheme and game plan that will help him grow.

That is one of the biggest faults with this coaching staff. And I'll say it again, if they don't approach next year by making Romo a game manager, then they will lose this kid.
