Has anyone had any positive or negative experiences at the Gaylord? My parents turn 60 this year and we would like to have a birthday party for them somewhere nice in the DFW area. We are interested in a nice hotel and perhaps a nice dinner and place to relax. It will be in February. Any suggestions?

Sorry, I can't help you. But, I can give you props for doing that for your parents. Salud!

I had a conference there. Great hotel, plenty of nice places to eat at the hotel. But if you have any other places you want to go besides the hotel it's a bit of an annoyance because the Gaylord is kind of by itself. But if you just intend to stay on the grounds I would recommend it.

Not really - just a short drive is a boatyard - they have music outdoors there on Thursday, Friday, Saturday night.
From what I read of the reviews burgers are good.
Also BYOB.
