2016 Zeke leads the league in rushing.Cowboys win NFC East. Also tie Franchise best record 13-3.2018 Zeke leads the league in rushing.Cowboys win NFC east.Seems like he's helping the team.Has most rushing attempts because he's helping the team. They wouldn't give him so many carries if he wasn't efficient.3 all pro's.IThink at least 1 of them was voted on what he did early in his career before he started getting injured. Also about the a running back being as good as his line.No running back is successful without a line that gives him a chance to get started.I should know a little bit about this being a former college running back.
Also 40 TD's in 1st 4 years.2nd most.Helped the team.Another All Pro retired at an early age.He knew he wasn't the same player and probably never would be again.

Has there ever been a player that tricked 90%+ of the forum into thinking he's good, when in fact he was not? Normally when we get a shiny new free agent like Poe or HHCD, then they'll be 10x better according to the forum than they actually are, but Zeke is an endentured player that y'all just continued to ignore his lack of effectiveness.

I mean this offseason the list of positions he held according to y'all included:
Best all around RB in the league
Best player on the team
Top 5 RB in the league

Completely asinine
Are you dissing zeke or blowing your own horn???

Yes there has been.....maybe even 2. Earl Campbell...Ricky Williams. Earl....he just flat out hit a wall after taking ungodly punishment for 4 years....Ricky...all the talent in the world.....couldn't live up to the hype...then quit caring. Kind of like our punk RB.

The warning signs were there early.

He's just a bad character guy and always has been. There were the awful stories of how he treated people at autograph signings, the off field scuffles and even his Ohio St. problems. He wasted his unbelievable potential on the field and his currency with the largest fan base in the NFL off it.

He should be in his prime and he's on his way out.

"If this team wants him out they WILL eat that contract" so Zeke best change and change fast. Right now he's a loser and a liability and I don't see it changing.

stats prescott, can't beat a good team and goes in panic mode with any pressure. panama should have told you what type of guy he was, always falling down when pressured.

Knowing when to let go is Jerry's biggest fault.

Dallas is not going to cut him; not after this season, at least. It costs more to cut him outright and is just about neutral if they split. He's on the roster for 2021, and unless he completely takes a dive worse than this year, he'll be there for 2022.

I don't have faith in Jerry to make such a move.

The other problem is his draft position, there are reasons that you dont draft RBs in the top 5.

1. RBs can be found later in the draft that are just as good if not better, see Derick Henery in 2nd.
2. RBs have the shortest career of any position in football due to the massive hits they take, usually only 3-4 prime years.
3. RBs are extremely dependent on their offensive line, if your line is trash your RB is usually hurt (Barkley) or ineffective(Zeke)

You also get less of a discount on the rookie deal relative to other positions.

You should be banned for posting the exact same BS that is patently false.

Zeke is currently 8th in the league in rushing while being the highest paid. A closer examination shows several telling insights:
  • Of the top 10 rushers so far this year, Zeke only has 1 carry of 20+. Compared for example to Nick Chubb (who has missed two games) with 10 carries of 20+, or Derrick Henry with 8 carries of 20+.
  • Only 3 of the top 10 rushers this year have been given a big second contract. 7 of the top 10 are still playing on rookie deals.
  • Of the top 10 rushers, the average age is 23.8.

Well the pick should have been ramsey. I said that when the draft happened. If i was drafting it would have been ramsey and myles jack first 2 picks.

But jerry is an idiot and was trying so hard to make romo a legend which he was never good enough to be by drafting zeke. The pick was for romosexuals like jerry not because it actually was a good pick.

If perfect fit means running the ball the most times, then sure.

The rushing titles seemed to be what fooled people the most into thinking he was good. That's a very good example as to why bulk stats aren't very helpful at all.
5.1 yards per carry (rookie season) while handling that kind of workload is not only good, it's outstanding.

Zeke may have fallen off now, but let's not act as if he didn't start his career as a very good player.
