Of course I suspect that he recognizes it as an issue. However at this point of the season there isnt a hell of a lot he can do about the situation beside try and coach the guys he has, to play up to his standards.

To be fair...there is not much that can be done now.

However on the other side of the coin....This could have been addressed the last few years and when it was addressed it seems we have been mostly miss.

Flo going down is the biggest factor IMO.

But at the worst we should shore up the O-Line problem next year and at least we should have some decent depth with exp.

Rogers was a HUGE mistake. Apparently the scouts told Parcells not to take him because of Injuries and Parcells still did. Turns out to be a really bad decision that has screwed us up this year. If we had drafted a real RT that year he would have been starting already.

The reasons our OL has not been playing well over the last several years can only be one of two things - poor coaching and poor talent evaluation. There has been little evidence to prove that anything is headed in the right direction since BP took over here.

I think we need to revamp things here. We should bring in the best OL coach we can find and let him sort this out. Maybe send Sprano back to coach the TEs - Witten seems to have regressed in his blocking this year.

sadly this is true. drafting and coaching up for most of these guys has been pretty bad. Petitti relative to draft choice has been great so we hit on him at least. Johnson, Gurode, Peterman, Rogers all busts.

The offensive line is like the CB quandry of 2004. We left ourselves thin.

That is the problem. He tried fixing it, but missed draft picks and guys like Rivera not playing up to their potential has killed us. Maybe Colombo works out. Maybe Rivera bounces back when his body feels right.... Who knows.... Bottom line, something needs to change. Parcells likes running the ball and controlling the game, and we can't do that right now with the play we are getting from our OL.

I think we are going to have to step up and use some first day draft selections on O lineman.

And we are going to have to do a better job than we have been doing.

It is ironic that the draft choice who is starting to show the most upside from this years draft is Canty.....and that was Jerry's pick

I heard this on the lunch break with Clarence Carter (dc.com) a defensive lineman who shall remain nameless (I believe Glover) said this is not the same Rivera he has no leg drive/strength that the back injury took it from him and it is going to need time (read another offseason) before he will be what he was...

The plan was to have Rivera help the youth (read should have been Rogers now Pettite) on the right side requiring less or no chipping on that side of the line for the RB's/TE's but since Rivera can't even hold his own it has left the right side of the oline a real mess...also heard it is effecting the center.. so in essence Rivera has negatively impacted C, RG, RT...IF this is so and the coaches know this (which I believe they would) what does it say about Peterman...

exactly. What do you want him to do? If Adams doesn't get hurt, I think the whole thing looks alot different. The O-Line has been bad, Adams would at least bring it back up to average. We missed him dearly against NY.

You're a Cowboy fan. Just admit it.

You spend way too much time here not to be.
