That lost taste like !
We are now in a fight for the playoffs and probably need to win out if we want to be assured of a chance to get into the tournament.
So as I was one of the guys thinking negative, negative, negative yesterday I will also be one of the guys who has calmed down considerably because it's time to move on.
Here's some positive things to consider.
We lost, but we were a few plays (and a few horrible calls from the refs)
away from tying the game. This was despite the fact that the offense was just pathetic most of the time.
7 points is one play in the NFL. This defense is playing very well right now. They are allowing every game to be close.
The offense was bad yesterday, but it was on the road against a tough opponent. Michael Strahan and Ose Umenyiora used up Tucker and Petitti and I am sure they will do the same to whichever two tackles they play the rest of the season. Those two guys are great players. This offense hasn't been spectacular, but they did play alright against the Broncos just two weeks ago. So maybe, just maybe the offense can put this performance behind them and play well enough to win next Sunday.
7-5. They are down, but in no way shape or form are they out of it. Win next week and get to 8-5 and things will look a lot different for all of us.
Not one blowout loss this season. So we should not expect that to happen in the last four weeks. This means there should be a chance for a win in each game. I will take the 50/50 odds for the rest of the season.
Any team can win on any given Sunday.
Another tough loss and it hurt like a son of a b*tch, but I am now ready to move on and hopefully the Cowboys can play much better next week.
