... concentrate, and lets WILL Tyson Thompson to practice well this week. :grrr:

Julius ain't playing-- I can't see risking the season by aggravating his high ankle sprain-- and so Thompson is our lone viable rushing threat. Marion Barber and Anthony Thomas, utterly ineffective in games, are unfortunately mistake-free in practice, and so Parcells gives them the lion's share of carries in games.

IMO, we HAVE to beat Seattle to have any shot at a home playoff game. We can't risk Julius, can't afford to run Barber and Thomas, so that means T2 is IT.

All together now!

barber utterly ineffective? did u see him last week, he was much improved over what he had done all year. Barber is going to get better and better as the season goes along and he gets more experience, dont count him out. I would still like to see TT get some carries though hes been good.

Barber, in my opinion, is as good a runner as TT and better than AT. He's a better blocker than TT, as good as AT. A better receiver than TT and AT. His only relative weakness, I think, is a tendency to look wide sometimes when he should plunge forward, especially in short yardage situations. I don't know who makes the fewest "mental errors."

We all saw Marion Barber exell a bit last week. I like T2's explosiveness. May the best man win. A-train is derailed.

It isn't about TT getting to practice -- it is about him not understanding his assignments. In Saturday's walk through they went through all the plays he needed to be aware of -- he had 10 basic assignments -- and blew 3 of those 10 assignments.

I don't care how exciting TT is -- I'd rather see A-Train in there because he knows what to do - keep in mind, if a blown assignment leads to Bledsoe being out for any length of time, our season is OVER.

Did people watch the same game I did? Barber struggled on most plays and did not pressure the defense in any way. If it weren't for Parcells' and Payton's commitment to running the ball and attaining offensive balance, Barber would not have received nearly as many carries. Look at that pathetic YPC average! I want both rookies to succeed as much as anyone, but it's clear the Cowboys' best rookie RB didn't get enough carries.

TT is the better runner IMHO. Too bad he needs a 1st grade teacher to show him his assignments. All those years of getting by on athletic ability and getting good grades by default are coming back to haunt him.

Barber made a couple good runs. Picked up a key first down or two. I'd like to see more of both and less of A-train, but A-train is by far the better blocker/blitz picker upper.

Barber did a good job of picking up the blitz. Both are better than TT in that regard.

One, JJ most likely will play,

two Barber is the better back, IMO, he picks up blitzes better, he is a great revier out of the backfield, and is a good hard runner.

I really dont see all of this man love for TT, he has unnatural speed, i agree, but that doesnt mean he's the only good back on our roster. If he is please show me why, the last time i checked he really hasnt done anything to set himself apart for Barber, (ecpet the fact Barber got hurt).

I thought Barber was fine, he had some moves and a little burst although he started slowly.

I think it's more important that Torrin Tucker play well than Tyson Thompson. Thompson is a one dimensional player that doesn't bring much and is never going to be better than Julius Jones.

Anyone claiming that either TT or MB3 is the better back right now is dumb. Give it a year or so.
