He is on the radio now talking about the Cowboys and the Playoffs in general. Historically, most coaches are pretty tight lipped about what they are going to do in a meaningly game, not sure what his point is. However, here is why he feels the way he does:

The way Wade Phillips is going about this helps the Skins. Now, it means the Skins will prepare like they are going to play their starters.
If Wade Phillips would have said that they were going to play backups Monday, then it would have been better for the Cowboys. It could have possibly affected the Skins mentally in a negative manner, even though Gibbs would not have allowed that.

Basically he is saying if the Cowboys would have said Monday that starters wouldn't play, then the Commanders would possibly ease up mentally because they would be playing backups and it would be a cakewalk.
Interesting take, I disagree totally and think it is a bit a reach, but it is interesting.
