This is why the Cowboys chose Awuzie-- b/c he can play CB and S and you can disguise your coverage more, and you can also further strengthen your dime and "Deacon" packages. With Jones, Lewis, and Awuzie on the field-- you can take away a TE and two slot WRs when teams (like GB) spread us out.
Things haven't gone according to plan since we've been dealing with all the injuries-- but I'm willing to see what we look like with all the kids out there on the field. Woods is another versatile piece that can rotated as either CB or S it seems. Throw in the fact that D Law is having a career year and we are generating a more consistent pass rush than we have in a long time-- and I think there are some building blocks to build on.
Does that mean we destroy Rodgers and the Pack today? Not likely. But we may be able to make it interesting if the offense can run the ball, execute more efficiently, and stop shooting itself in the foot.
