Secondary needs a lot of help. A LOT. If they don't get Fitzpatrick, next off season there needs to be heavy resources put there.

With what they have done so far, being a decent or average defense doesn't sound unreasonable.

Even if they do, it’s too late.

So I’m excited about Quinnen. It’ll help the next few years. But this season is a pipe dream.

I’m not saying anything will change because the environment is toxic in Dallas too. But that is like comparing apples to oranges. How did the Jets’ offense perform when Sam Darnold was there? How have offenses in Minny and Seattle done with Darnold as QB.

Despite bringing in Wilson and Williams, I don't have high hopes for this defense this season. They need secondary help. The good news is Revel is on deck, Overshown is close, and EZ has taken his game up a level. The bad news is the safeties are terrible and the corners outside of Bland should be depth pieces, not starters. If they bring in over-the-top help we could be in business. Let's see how the next hour plays out.

Next season...fix the secondary, beef up LB, and this defense could be really good.

This season’s defense is cooked with or without Q. Minkah would be a nice grab but those are two moves to setup the offseason. Linebackers and secondary should be the absolute focus going into FA and the draft. Trading for Williams doesn’t move the needle, they have to build around him.

Doesn’t matter - season’s over. Last night sealed this team’s fate. Can’t lose at home to the GD Cardinals, another team we can’t beat just like the Broncos. Those two teams circle our game as a W and don’t tell me they don’t.
