Secondary needs a lot of help. A LOT. If they don't get Fitzpatrick, next off season there needs to be heavy resources put there.

With what they have done so far, being a decent or average defense doesn't sound unreasonable.

This, help the DL and LB but that Secondary couldn’t cover me on a route.

I don’t expect anything of the sort because I think the problems stem from the defensive coaching staff, not the player personnel. This season is toast and that should be everyone’s expectation.

With that said, I think Quinnen Williams is a player that should be a cornerstone of the defense for the future and I do believe the price was good value for the Cowboys so I’m excited about the trade. I think with a strong draft and a new defensive coaching staff the defense can turn it around in one season; if the right decisions are made. Of course all of that is moot if they fritter away their remaining 1st round picks on past their prime players on big contracts.

do you understand the game of football, do you know what it means to have a pass rush. The quarterback has to get rid of the ball soon sooner defensive backfield doesn’t have to cover as long.

Williams will help out edge rushers some too. He draws attention and can push the middle back. Also the LB we traded for has some pass rush skills too. Improved pass rush certainly helps the secondary,

Man, there are still so many problems on this defense.

The defensive line is looking set. I will gladly go into battle with a D line of Clowney, EzE, Big Q, and Osa. Wilson will upgrade one LB spot, because he literally can't be any worse than the incumbants.

That leaves us with one scrub starting at LB, and about four scrubs starting in the secondary. So I think our run defense will actually shore up pretty nicely (Big Q vs Mazi, are you kidding?), but we will still get dog walked vs the pass.

Jerry is a narcissist. He loves that his players love him, and he'll go easy to try and win their favor. But when they "do him dirty", like ask to review a contract offer with their agent, then his loses his cool and tries to get even with them.

So you know how the players truly feel about him? I’m not sure Diggs or Parsons loved him. Lamb doesn’t seem to like talking about him or the negotiation process he went through. I think they love his pay checks. However, the environment he creates has nothing to do with whether the players love him or not. The constant distractions he creates and questions they get from the media because him are ridiculous.

While I love the move for the future we have had Ds that had Micah and Diggs balling and still got beat. This fixes A problem. The secondary is still a major issue. I think this season is done but I do think this is a great springboard for the next 2 years
