I think the moves made today might win them a couple more games but unless Revel and Overshown make a big improvement this team is stil not going to compete for a playoff berth. Williams was a nice get although I wish the picks were reversed (2026 1st and 2027 2nd).

Well the defense was not good last night. Give up a TD on 3 out of the first 5 possessions. Put a lot of stress on the offense who was moving the ball across midfield...... just for the first time this year... had a lot of red zone issues.

I don’t expect anything of the sort because I think the problems stem from the defensive coaching staff, not the player personnel. This season is toast and that should be everyone’s expectation.

With that said, I think Quinnen Williams is a player that should be a cornerstone of the defense for the future and I do believe the price was good value for the Cowboys so I’m excited about the trade. I think with a strong draft and a new defensive coaching staff the defense can turn it around in one season; if the right decisions are made. Of course all of that is moot if they fritter away their remaining 1st round picks on past their prime players on big contracts.

I think they love his pay checks. However, the environment he creates has nothing to do with whether the players love him or not. The constant distractions he creates and questions they get from the media because him are ridiculous.

We can agree to disagree. You think Jerry is doing a grand job. I think he would have been fired at least 25 years ago if he didn’t own the team.

correction...it needs to go from historically horrendus to just bad....and I think that would be good enough.

I can't imagine all the players with 1 year contract love him and we typical have a high number of 1 year players.

Most of their issues are in the secondary & we didn’t address that at all.

Williams is a good long term plan but we can’t cover at all.

He traded for him because he wanted to get some more juice going about the Cowboys.

Good defenses are about depth and good players at most positions, but moreover about attitude, coaching, and desire to dominate
