NOBODY is on the hot seat. These are moves to justify running back the entire staff next year.

Overshown and Revel are both coming off major injury and Fitzpatrick isn't on the team quite yet.

My concern is why the Cowboys offense that was ranked #1, is in a 3 game slide since the Panthers loss and I believe has averaged 2 TDs per game during this.

Demanding the defense be at least decent is pretty much what the offense has been lately.....decent at best

End of the day, it barely moves the needle. This **** is going to need a complete offseason reboot!

I said it has the profile of one, but having the profile of one does not mean it'll translate to being one. It has enough players to be decent, but will it be decent? is the question.

The offense is on a 2 game slide..... but I think it'll come back.

Man, there are still so many problems on this defense.

The defensive line is looking set. I will gladly go into battle with a D line of Clowney, EzE, Big Q, and Osa. Wilson will upgrade one LB spot, because he literally can't be any worse than the incumbants.

That leaves us with one scrub starting at LB, and about four scrubs starting in the secondary. So I think our run defense will actually shore up pretty nicely (Big Q vs Mazi, are you kidding?), but we will still get dog walked vs the pass.

best you can do is play your best 4 on the line and pray to god someone in the back end can shadow these WR/TE.

While I love the move for the future we have had Ds that had Micah and Diggs balling and still got beat. This fixes A problem. The secondary is still a major issue. I think this season is done but I do think this is a great springboard for the next 2 years

Micah and Diggs are flashy players, We now have the big studs you need in the playoffs whenever we decide to be serious about getting there.

Secondary needs a lot of help. A LOT. If they don't get Fitzpatrick, next off season there needs to be heavy resources put there.

With what they have done so far, being a decent or average defense doesn't sound unreasonable.

2 safeties at least one CB at minimum just in secondary.

This season’s defense is cooked with or without Q. Minkah would be a nice grab but those are two moves to setup the offseason. Linebackers and secondary should be the absolute focus going into FA and the draft. Trading for Williams doesn’t move the needle, they have to build around him.

Still need another quality DE. It looks like EZ is going to be one, but not sure we have the consistency we need there from anyone else. Kneeland's development, or lack thereof, as been a disappointment, and Clowney is turning into a good rental.

Will he provide better deep coverage than Murray? Yes and his career has shown that.

Will that negate some of the wide open wr? In THIS scheme it will help yes.

Are these 2 moves enough? No. But there weren't enough to be made to do that either.

Tale the wins, build around the strong pieces you have and next year maybe we are average D, which is a huge improvement.
