Miles Austin says hello. We waited too long to extend Austin and overpaid for past production.
Butler isn't going to have the year that Austin did because he's not going to be a top option.

He also has 0 reason to take a low-dollar extension if he thinks he can have that kind of year.

It is really stupid to force yourself to have to replace multiple players at the same position in the same year unless it is by choice because they all suck. I think Butler is pretty close to Williams in talent. If you can replace Williams for Butler at half the cost after this year, then what is wrong with that?

I know .....you would rather them "prove it" and then pay out the *** for them. I would prefer we be proactive, if the opportunity arises.
I agree

It would be twice the player at half the price.

You just have this crush for a very average guy. He didn't live up to expectations here, and he failed in Jacksonville.

I will put in a context you might understand. Madden 2016 had Parnell rated 84 and Free 87.

You are just making up nonsense. He didn't fail anywhere. Maybe you missed the fact that their rookie RB was crushing it. I watched their games. They ran right a high percentage of the time. It was their LT that failed and they replaced him this off-season. Their offense had a very good season. That team will finally be good if they can get some talent on defense. Their new front office is doing a great job. Their draft was considered one of the best this year.

We judge players by Madden ratings now...:lmao2::lmao::laugh:

Too many WRs coming out each season that could do what he does and probably won't keep Williams and Butler. This may depend more on Williams in his contract year and how he performs and what he wants. I would give Williams the inside track since he and Bryant are buds.
