Ezeirauku was arrested for reckless driving on January 11th

Hey, we have all gotten a speeding ticket here and there, but getting arrested is the confusing part here.

You typically don’t get arrested in Texas for a misdemeanor, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Like if you are speeding but refuse to pull over for another 10 miles, or if the cop suspects you are intoxicated, but you refuse a breathalyzer test, or if you have a firearm in your vehicle, but you don’t have an open carry license, etc

There is more to this story.
This would be my take. What did he do the required an arrest unless by reckless driving he was driving at high rate of speed and potentially took a couple cars out weaving in and out of traffic.

I don't think this was simply he was driving real fast and that's it.

Actually reckless driving is the difference between a misdemeanor for some other driving offense it is why they hand it out because they feel like it was subjectively a worse offense and they wanted to teach you a lesson so yes reckless driving is a misdemeanor you get arrested for...

And not every cop you get pulled over and not every municipality gives out reckless driving tickets versus a unsafe lane change or speeding 30 or above some of them just give you a ticket to appear that's not how it works in some municipalities they love stepping you up into the next level johnson County's one of them and I heard Collin County was another So you should be messing around the whole FAFO thing in some of these counties they want you to do something they can use a subjective offense and apply it..

Getting them mixed up speeding ticket is a class A misdemeanor usually they're not something you get arrested for but there are plenty of misdemeanors you can get arrested for it.... But Class B Most of the time you get arrested and that falls under reckless driving..

Class C Misdemeanors (Fine up to $500, no jail)

Class B Misdemeanors (Jail up to 180 days, fine up to $2,000)

Class A Misdemeanors (Jail up to 1 year, fine up to $4,000)
This list is not exhaustive, as many other specific offenses fall under these classes, but it covers common examples.
In Texas, reckless driving is generally a Class B misdemeanor, punishable by up to 30 days in jail and/or a fine up to $200, but it can escalate to a Class A misdemeanor (up to a year in jail/fine up to $4,000) if the conduct places someone in imminent danger of serious bodily injury, or even a felony if serious injury or death results.
Standard Reckless Driving (Class B Misdemeanor)

The problem is that this very well could be nothing, but details may or may not come out for us to pass our own judgment. Tyreek's arrest, Aiyuk filming him speeding, are all examples of malcontents that will no longer be on their teams next year and involved higher profile players than Eze. When we read about a Cowboys player arrested, the immediate fan reaction is to be expected whether or not it's right or wrong it's a learned behaviour
This is true that's why I was pointing out didn't Rice with the Chiefs just get arrested for fleeing the scene of a accident while racing literally was a felony Then he just got arrested recently for something else jordan Addison in 2023 got a much worse reckless driving charge with other charges and then he just got arrested yesterday for something else It's happening to other teams it's all over the Internet in NBA NFL also regular people that's the thing we don't hear those because it's not a big enough offense for your name to be plastered all over the Internet..

SO while I don't want to consider this normal but it's more normal than it is rare for people to get arrested for reckless driving even if it wasn't that big a deal It's it's left up to the subjective judgment of the police officer and if they're making it personal if they're for some reason had bad experiences with this type of driving they will step it up from a regular class that you misdemeanor to a reckless driving class B and they will arrest you to make their point and they can because it's subjective it covers everything..

If the cops pulled people over for unsafe lane change or weaving in and out of traffic here in Austin, half the dam city would get stopped, LOL

A quick google search shows the one name you singled out has given back millions of dollars through scholarships, community building and disaster & social relief.

Shut up and play ball though right?
I’m happy he gave money.

Unrelated completely to what I said.
He could give 50 million and still have 100 million. The point is, he has what he has because the USA exists.

Same guys for all MLB, NFL, NBA players.
Just a fact

Great some do charity.
The fact remains regardless

Good for him.

Oh they do it like I said it depends on the police officer that happens to be in the line of sight and what city municipality but there's a couple of them here johnson County is one of them and that encompasses like all the small towns like Midlothian , and goes all the way southwest through Burleson, Crowley, Joshua and Rio Vista.

Most of the police officers who pull you over for that A lot of times they give you reckless driving charges instead and even though it doesn't happen regularly Tarrant County does it I mean Arlington I was pulled over for it but just given a ticket I even been let off for it along the toll road..

But again in the wrong counties and I believe this is one of them calling counties known for making sure they move you one up from your actual offense they could just give you a ticket but instead they arrest you for reckless driving if they can they will but again it's subjective from one police officer to another...

It is crazy but you do have to know where you're at and what cities do this so you could pay better attention..

Bot times it's just bad luck doing it and happen to have an officer right behind you that you didn't see maybe one car over 1 car back they witnessed the whole thing if they feel like even pulling you over then you're screwed because now they have it all on video and well it is what it is it doesn't make you any more innocent but you got busted you got busted...LOL

As I mentioned on this forum, I believe more information needs to be released, and it's concerning behaviour. There is clearly way more to this than this a ticket/handshake and autograph, then on your way, Mr.Eze....how much more?
You are on an absolute campaign over this. Did you dislike him as a player?

Twenty something posts about it makes it appear that you have some agenda at work

Good points, luckily after I started having kids and strapping them in car seats, the rate of speed at which I drive is significantly less than when I was single, LOL

Don't be one of those guys in here. I formed an opinion, not a campaign or conspiracy against the guy. I don't need to justify my opinions either, so accept them or don't, it's pretty easy. I have accepted your beliefs, and mine just differ. It you have read my past opinions about Eze the player, then you wouldn't have asked this question

What just happened again today to Jordan Addison is exactly what I worry about with some of these players, who just don't get it. Of course, his attorney claims he is innocent, etc, but trouble seems to find this kid. Rice is a clown, and in no fashion do I think Eze is there yet, but as a fan of this team, there are many ways these kids can find trouble if they are looking for it.

What trouble is finding this kid?

This incident?

You are being disingenuous to make him appear to be some type of serial degenerate. You even inferred he is a “malcontent” who won’t be on the team long.

Stop being hysterical.
