Ezeiruaku: My sacks are coming

We heard Randy Gregory say this for years.

We heard Sam Williams say this for years.

Hopefully this kid is different and not just all talk.

He did not play the first weeks just because he hurt his ankle in TC. Not because he wasnt ready skill or talent wise. And that was one important point about the whole discussion i guess you missed.

But if you still think that does not relate to a first day starter and felt the need to express that its ok with me.

I still dont know why you had to take this offensive approach telling all of us about your knowledge. Since DFLaw was only ian example ofmany that i gave to argue against the assumption that every DE first day starter has been taken in the top 10. Which is obviously BS.
I was simply setting the record straight that Lawrence was not a day one starter. Sorry if you are offended by that.

So you don’t like it when players show confidence?
To some extent, yes. EZ is young. He hasn't yet learned to be quiet and let his play do the talking. I'll manage to forgive it, as long as his play keeps improving. At some point, I hope he'll learn to restrain himself.

I like it 100%. It’s a mental thing. If you’re confident, you’re going to play more freely. No matter the sport. In fact having confidence in yourself is a must.

I don’t understand why people look for anything to complain about. A players confidence should be the last of your complaining.

It's not a complaint; merely how I feel about the issue. Not sure why that bothers you. Not everyone needs to commit to what you view as a positive outlook. We all see things as human individuals. It's good in the sense that he'll develop over time. I totally respect your opinion, however. We all have a right to see things as we do.

I like EZ and think he may very well adjust his thinking differently, given time to mature. He just wants maximum respect, which is natural for any player. That is especially true of a young rookie who is likely to improve his performance with more experience. I think he'll be a fine player who gets his share of sacks, whatever that may be. I'm glad we drafted him.

It's not his fault that we let vets go then expect rookies to fill the void
