Someone tweet this to Stephen A. Smith.
It isn’t what SAS is saying he should do. It isn’t a crisp public denial Iike Michael Irvin gave. Zeke has never gone public and said ‘I never hit, pushed or committed any sort of abuse against TT”. Until he does that, most people outside of biased Cowboy fanatics will continue to think he is guilty of something, even its much less than the claims by NFL.

some people would never be satisfied no matter what he said. He is following the advice of his lawyers which is the smart thing to do.

Elliott has said that he didn’t do it.

He has also been very cautious and limited in what he says about the case which I can guarantee is because his lawyers advise him against talking about it as much as possible. Which is sound advice.

I respect Zeke for trying to fight and clear his name etc. But he will never win this case. Ever. Never ever. Its sad but the NFL good or bad just has way too much power. To me the NFL players association is the single worst union in all of pro sports. Its a disgrace. Thats the problem. You cant fight the NFL currently with the rules of the CBA and expect to win anything. But its just time now Zeke to get this over with and rid this black cloud that has been hovering over us for so long. Sure i respect him for trying to clear his name but we all know now its a lost cause. Just get it over with now
Some men are not as quick to give up the throat as you are.

Would you feel this way if you were in EE's position?

Here is a question to ponder:

What price is Zeke willing to pay? He has spent some money on attorneys but that isn't what I mean.

If this is bigger than money, would Zeke retire rather than take the suspension?

That would certainly send the message that Zeke was serious. If you had to choose between the suspension with return after the six games and your self respect, honor, etc....which would you choose?

For those who wish he would "just take it".:rolleyes::rolleyes:

So easy for people to say when it's not their own life, reputation, life after football on the line. I would push this if it cost me my career in football. PERIOD.

That would take a lot of guts. Especially for someone as young as he is. BUT.....

It would indeed make a whole lot of people stand up and take notice who have ignored this so far.

He still does have the option of suing the NFL for defamation. BUT that would take a lot of time to do.

If he does that the Cowboys players should then refuse to play. Talk about a firestorm!!!

You are naive to think this cany be settled. They could settle for some sort of punishment that does not involve a finding of domestic violence for a fine, or a lesser suspension. Zeke may or may not take that but if I were advising him I would say you have to take a really hard look at settling if it doesn't have a DV component to it. Two games or less, and he gets to pick when they happen. I think Zeke would take that in a minute.

If I were the NFL I would NOT let this go to trial. Far too much for the NFL to lose in the ZEKE case, and if they have any sense at all from this point forward they should at least ACT LIKE they are giving players a fair shot.

Imagine if Zeke wins this case. Precedent would be set and the floodgates would be open.

I understand that the deck is stacked against Zeke, but tonsay he has NO CHANCE is simply not factual. Elliott's lawyers have done a very good job of attacking the process which is the best atrategy to win this case.

All of the comments about "fundamental fairness" is essentially due process. I think Zeke's two best arguments to win his case are:

1. Deprivation of due process
2. Have the court hold that there is an implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing in the CBA which would castrate Goodell's powers if that happens.

Good for you young man.

Fight for you name.

It's all you've really got in this world.

This is why, frustrating as it is, I am all for him fighting this to the bitter end.

Guy beats woman and deserves to face justice. Its a travesty he has been able to buy off being suspended.
