I'm sure your right but here is what I do not get. I realize that it's all about money for these owners but how can they feel comfortable with a Commish that is literally despised by fans everywhere he goes. Every draft he is booed wherever it is held. New York, Chicago, Philly. I heard Peter King say on a radio show he showed up for a Peyton Manning tribute and was booed for several minutes. Is this the look or image they want moving forward. I mean it's not like he is the only guy that can make the owners money.
I agree with you. In fact, I made a similar point a couple of weeks ago.

It's not a good look to have a commissioner as despised as this guy. But for whatever reason, most owners seem ok with it. Maybe they see it as Goodell taking the bullets from fans instead of them.

And Goodell seems to like being the bad guy. He is certainly well compensated for it.

Kind of disappointed.

I understand he wants closure and wants to move on but if giving up was a possible end game in an uphill battle, he should’ve just served his suspension in the start of the season...not November and December.

I don't know what to type. Maybe he will file a defamation lawsuit outside of this appeal. I hope so if he doesn't I will have a hard time ever putting on his jersey again.

Thing is that this counts as stike one under the domestic violence policy..........a second strike is a lifetime ban. And remember, as far as Goddell is concerned, an accusation means guilt.

Dude better live like a monk from here on out...............no partying, no alcohol, and definitely no sex.

Worked for Roethlisberger

He didn't do it and he still got screwed. That's the point. He was innocent and still was punished.

So what changes would he make? Become celibate? Hold up in his home like a recluse?
It's not one extreme or the other. It is possible to go out and have a good time without having cops everywhere and spending time with gold digging tramps.

I know I've done it. In fact, most young people have.

And if he wants to play it safe, he can stay home. But he can throw a party or 2 at home. I'm sure he'd have no trouble filling his house with friends and such.

Nobody is talking about him becoming a monk. There is a third way.

You may not be able to block the suspension, but you can sue Goodell to high heaven for damages afterward.

You can sue a Ham Sandwich but that doesn't mean you should. I don't know enough about the legal footing there but let me just say that it would be very difficult to win a case like that, IMO. He would be much better off suing the women IMO. No idea what kind of money he might get but that one, he can probably win.

Best thing he can do.

We’re going no where without Tyron and Lee. We will be 5-6 after thanksgiving ... no need to push it into next season

He misses/missed

Falcons - Loss
Eagles - Loss
Chargers - Loss
Commanders - Loss
Giants - Win
Raiders - Loss

Sounds right?
I withdraw my prediction of a winning streak after Philly.

It was a fixed fight from the beginning and now finally the first good decision by Elliott's people regarding this fiasco. Good call. Go to work to clean up his image and concentrate on playing football. This BS will soon be forgotten. The Cowboy fans know that the lady was a gold digger and a liar. Time to move on the put this story behind us.

I was told by many (fuzzy ), that zeke would win. This was nothing like the Brady case. Zeke would win because he filed in Texas.

If you payed attention over the past 6 years and had any kind of reading comprehension and read the cba, you would know how this was going to end.

I think Zeke’s camp just raised the white flag. A civil suite against Goodell makes no sense now.

Zeke is in Nepal finding his true center. He has no desire to continue fighting this silly battle--he will now fight his own internal battles. When he returns, he will be at peace and ready to play with a confidence and ferocity the league has never witnessed.

Right you are. In fact, there is video floating out there right now with Zeke in Nepal. The man is on a quest!

She probably has no money, but so what?

If it is about restoring your name, just having a judgement in your favor will go a long way. Even if she doesn't give you a penny.

I've said that before. Sue her for exactly $1, to help clear his name. Make it not be about the money but his image.
