You don't know that, we have a lot more talent than Philly. Do you honestly think Dak would have played as well in Philly this season as he has in Dallas?
So I guess I'll mark you down for believing Wentz would've kept Romo on the bench and us at 13-3.

Wade Wilson would have to work quite the magic with Wentz to go through progressions, because our offense isn't predicated on quick slants, bubbles screens and dumping off to the RB. He'd probably have more INTs because we actually have intermediate routes.

In my opinion, Wentz is still more talented than Dak, but there's no way to see it and no hope to develop it until they find a legit RB, two receivers, and an improved OL. The guy is playing with garbage other than TE, which is why I wonder why we didn't cover the only true NFL player out there today.

Matthews and Aguilar are garbage, and he didn't even have them. Judging Wentz on anything other than toughness, escapability, and decision making is a huge mistake. Lucky for us, they can't rebuild that offense around him in one year.

Chuck gets it.

You're going to football heaven, bro.

Wentz will be average. Middle of the road. Not a Superstar that the #2 pick should be.

He has no touch and rifles every pass.

There are no rookie QB's anymore. 99% of colleges run a pro offense, so these kids are ready when they come in the league. The days of a QB sitting for 3 years are over.

The reason he got worse as the season went on is due to film.

Take away Sproles, and that offense is worse in the league.

Anybody besides me, glad that the face of our franchise is not Carson Wentz?

I'm sorry, the guy looks like a doofus and I am having a hard time understanding all the hype. I am glad he plays for the Eagles, the more I watch him the more I think he is going to be a bust as far as no.2 picks go.
I think he can be decent but he should strive to be Alex Smith for a ceiling.
You had me at doofus.:laugh::laugh:

He had some very productive games this season. He had three 300 yard games including 364 yards against the Giants and that was with an average receiving corp. Sure he had some rough games he's a rookie, go see how many rough games Troy Aikman had as a rookie. He doesn't have the OL or the RB that we do in Dallas and our receiving corp is better. If you can't see the potential Wentz has you're blind. A lot was put on his shoulders this season.
I do see the potential, I just don't think is as high as you seem to think.

Is that OK? or does one of us have to be wrong today?

I never said he would have kept Romo on the bench or that we would have gone 13-3 with him but it's "possible" with the talent we have on offense. If you give Wentz our OL and Zeke, along with Witten, Beasley, Dez and our offensive approach, he could have had success similar to Dak. Not saying he would have but it was possible. Had we drafted Wentz #4 overall he would have been drafted to replace Romo and Romo going down would have given him the opportunity to take the job just like Dak did.

If you don't think that highly of Wentz, then why did you want to draft him more than any player in the draft? I didn't want to daft him. To be honest, he looks even better than I expected he would look. I was expecting more like what we've seen with Goff this season who has bust written all over him. Wentz won 7 games and had to shoulder a lot of the load on an offense that has holes. There's no biases with me I give honest assessment of players.

Wentz is going through what most young QBs drafted high go through...playing on a team devoid of a lot of talent around him.

Most Qbs doing drop into the QB heaven Dak did.

Whatever you say is OK with me but you're bashing a QB that you claimed you wanted to draft more than any other player in the draft. lol Had we drafted him you would be talking him up, not tearing him down.

Awesome. You are the first person I have ever met with no bias. Previously, I thought I was the only one, but now I know that there are at least two of us...

I won't get into the whole Dak vs. Wentz thing, but Wentz's talent is obvious. Look out if they are able to put some players around him.

Like I said I give an honest assessment of players while you clearly have a bias by tearing down a QB you claimed you wanted the Cowboys to draft more than any other player. Do you honestly think Dak could have played as well with Philly this season with the offensive talent they have? Try taking your FAN cap off and give an honest opinion. You don't think Wentz could have played better in Dallas with the talent we have on offense? Wentz had nothing close to a Zeke Elliott in the backfield or the receivers we have.

Zeke had almost 1000 yards more and 7 more TD's than Philly's leading rusher. In both games against the Giants, Wentz played better than Dak did. Dak had his worst games against the Giants. Wentz had a solid game today regardless that we sat some players and you're upset about it. You know as well as I do had the Cowboys drafted Wentz you wouldn't be tearing his game down.

Alex Smith has never had one season where he passed for more yards than Wentz did this season. lol You're totally out of bounds comparing him with Alex Smith.

I don't see anything in Wentz. I don't think he's a bad QB, I just don't think he's worth a 2nd overall pick or a franchise QB.

He'll be Joe Flacco right down to coming from a FCS school. He's got some ability and looks to be a solid player in the future. Eagles did alright picking him. The NFC East has some solid young QBs....
