Yip exactly. Realistically I think 9-7-1Never thought they would run the table due to this Franchise's history of having "let down" games.
Think they win out but miss playoffs.

Facts matter. Simple things are usually the best answer as to why you lose or win. On that night, we were beaten. The better team that day won. You pointed out the difficulty of playing that many games in a short period. These players are human. Plus, we gotta learn how to win the higher stakes games. We will with this hc. The fan base needs to be patient.3 games in 11 days is brutal. If you asked anybody on this board if they would be happy winning 2 of 3 against Philly, KC and Det in the span of 11 days every single person here would have been ecstatic with that. One bright spot is that the team didn't quit down 27-9. Defense couldn't get a stop when needed and dropped passes that led to int's made things worse. If, and it's a big if, we played mistake free ball we would have beaten detroit too.
Yup and have better players . But if that same game was played again in a week,we could win.Detroit played 3 games in 11 days also....
Thursday night, Dan campbell and staff took the cowboys Coaches to the woodshed and slaughtered them. After beating the chiefs and egirls back to back, the amount of our fans here at the Zone that immediately transitioned to “this team will run the table” and make a playoff run was puzzling.
Don’t get me wrong. I was excited to see this team win three straight and look a lot better doing it. But it was still a bit mystifying. How could a defense ranked near the absolute bottom of the NFL suddenly turn into a team capable of winning 8 straight? The offense has been good most of the time all year. But the defense?
Anyway…here are my questions:
What changed either way?
- What made you believe this team was capable of winning 8 straight?
- After losing to Detroit, do you still believe this team is playoff bound? Why or why not?
The defense really turned a corner once Williams, Overshown, Wilson, Hooker, Wilson, and Revel were added to the mix. What changed either way?

The Bad News Bears went to the Championship game......Yeah, but parody of what? The Bad News Bears?
Too bad it's more like the rim of a toiletJerry is happy hanging out at the rim.
I’m not sure so many felt we were going to run the table.I agree. I’m just asking what made so many people believe we were going to “run the table”?
I've never understood the 3 games in 11 days excuse as its happens pretty much happens to every team anymore as just about everyone has a Thursday game. Sunday-Sunday-Thursday or Sunday-Thursday-Thursday is all 11 days.Detroit played 3 games in 11 days also....
I don’t think it was just winning 3 straight. It was who we beat and how we beat them.I wonder if our fan base is so starved for improvement, we are willing to believe so badly all it takes is winning 3 straight.
Not knocking those wins. Just wondering how we got so much “faith”, lol?
I did have some hope. Knew it would be extremely tough. Knew after Lions game we’d be favored in remaining games. After beating the chiefs and egirls back to back, the amount of our fans here at the Zone that immediately transitioned to “this team will run the table” and make a playoff run was puzzling.

I guess as long as they're not mathematically eliminated there is hope.I did have some hope. Knew it would be extremely tough. Knew after Lions game we’d be favored in remaining games.
I think I even stated 10-6-1 was probably more likely and added that after 3-5-1 finishing with 8 or 9 wins would be a strong finish.
And with an 8% chance our playoff hopes are on life support with little to no chance. I’d say it’s over.

1. Capable of winning 8 straight? Sure, they were 1 or 2 stops by the defense from winning a game in which they were outplayed. The minute I saw that we could stop the run and make teams 1 dimensional, I believed we had a chance. We held Jamir Gibbs to 43 yards rushing, and Detroit knew we were better in this area and came out with a game plan that was all about passing. I didn’t expect us to win all three of the last games against top NFL teams with a new coaching staff prepping for 4 games in 18 days. But capable, yes. After beating the chiefs and egirls back to back, the amount of our fans here at the Zone that immediately transitioned to “this team will run the table” and make a playoff run was puzzling.

True, and they also went 2-3, barely beating the NY Giants.Detroit played 3 games in 11 days also....
