I think most fans want to see opinions which align with theirs. If one doesn't it usually strikes a nerve and reaction. Id recommended ignoring those who inflame you. Rarely sharply divided opinions have any influence on each other. Post them and move on. Let others decipher if will influence them. Too much time is wasted on forums with petty back and forth insults and attempts to discredit their fandoms.

Fans with a negative attitude want to win just as much but this is how they deal with the lack of success this era. It's apathy and cynism. It helps them deal with it . Yea, it spoils those who are always positive about their team. Forums are a place to vent and cheer. Everyone conducts their fandom differently. Get over it.Winning cures all ills.

This post should be the banner on all forums.

At 3-1, the fan base can be optimistic about relevance. If at the end of the season, we miss the playoffs once again losing that 'win-and-in' final game of the season,I hope the fanbase is sickened if Jerry trots out that "relevant" line yet again.

Personally, I admit, I'm jaded. I've had so many reasons since '96 to be optimistic. And every time we start moving in the right direction, Jerry goes all in and uses up whatever momentum the Cowboys have had....Trade away our picks for Galloway, burn out Parcells with T.O., Trade away picks for Roy Williams, the 2009 draft. So my shell shock has me scared of what the next growth stunting move will be.

And for the record, I knew we'd be 3-1 when we got here...most in my circles were doubting the rookie QB just for the sake of doubting a rookie QB. I don't want to tell them, I told you so, because it's not my style. So, thanks for letting me indulge here...Told you so! Whew, that felt good!

This team is definitely on an upward path. Not sure how far we go this year but we are trending upwards. Man IF we can make the playoffs and have "Gregory" and D-Law balling look out.
QB:
Romo - experienced vet
Dak - rookie who has looked good so far

RB
EE - rookie looking good so far
Morris - baller on a very affordable 2 year contract
Dunbar - good 3rd down/change of pace RB
McFadden - sitting in the garage waiting to be driven

WR
Dez - baller
Beas - baller
Butter/T-Will complimentary pieces
need another WR with speed that can catch

TE
Witten - vet/baller
Hanna/Escobar/Swaim - decent back ups
Gathers - going on record now, he will be a baller

O-Line
Ballers across the board and 4/5 still in mid 20s

D-Line
D-Law and Gregory (if he gets his act together) could be ballers
Collins - could be a baller in year 2
Tapper - injured but looked good in NCAA
Crawford - would be a baller at DT with better DE play
couple of rotational pieces

LB
Lee - if/when healthy baller
Smith - have to wait until healthy to see (was a baller in NCAA)
need to draft another one

CB
O-Scan good slot corner
Mo - ballin this year (knock on wood)
Brown - rookie who has held his own
Carr - under appreciated
may need to draft another one

Safety
Jones - 2nd year but playing ok
Wilcox - new coach may have turned his career around
need to draft one

Romo?

I've been on this site for quite a while, posted very few threads, but one thing I've noticed are some fans have a quick trigger to jump ship... things do not go right ALL the time.. we are 3 and 1. Thats what we are, we have stiffer competition coming, but just like you worry playing them, I invite you to read msg boards of opponents, they worry about the Cowboys, that should give you what you need, we are relevant,.. I posted that the defense may surprise you, they are not great, but offense is the off setting factor. Be happy, we are 3 and 1. We are relevant.
Not really. Just win

What? Is he not still on the team, Ranch? Is he still not slated to start when he returns?
Poster labeled Romo as an experienced vet and half of the other players listed were labeled ballers.

But Romo is an experienced vet, Ranch. I get not buying the sunshine on some of the other players, but Romo has proven his greatness (imo).

Or maybe I'm reading your post wrong, Ranch? (Not trying to be argumentative with you, brother).

No I feel like a guy like Church should be labeled an experienced vet. To me it's a little disrespectful to just label Romo as that. Say something like franchise qb when healthy. Don't undervalue Romo.

My apologies, Ranch. I completely misunderstood you, bud. :)

I'm sure it a lifestyle for some people just like being a fan is for others.

Exactly, X, some folks get their daily jolly's from trolling opposing fans, much like we get our jolly's discussing Dallas 'ball. It's sad, but oh so true.

And we call them out when we find them.

I'm team Romo. Team Dak too but believe you me a healthy Romo on a pitch count is our best chance to win this year. Dak is making a strong case though.
