An amusing good bye to the St. Louis Rams.

"So Los Angeles now has the same team they had before. And not just in name. The current St Louis Rams are an exact carbon copy of the 1994 Los Angeles Rams that fled to St Louis. The 1994 Rams had a star running back in Jerome Bettis, a solid defense, a veteran coach in Chuck Knox who had lost an effectiveness that he once had, and two worthless quarterbacks in Chris Miller and Chris Chandler. The new Los Angeles Rams have a star running back in Todd Gurley, a solid defense, a veteran coach in Jeff Fisher who long ago lost any effectiveness he once had, and two worthless quarterbacks in Nick Foles and Case Keenum. Hollywood loves putting out bad sequels to movies that weren’t all that good in the first place. These Rams should fit right in."

Back and forth... Back and forth... Apparently Los Angeles doesn't work for an NFL team. How will it work now?

I'm not sure if that is the correct assumption. Yes it didn't work before, but part of the problem was it was two teams, the stadium was old (both teams wanted a new one) and due to the archaic blackout rules, neither team was ever on TV because they could not sell out the 100k tickets.

as for the Dome in St Louis. they need to at least keep it around, mostly for college football(a future bowl game is the best they can do for football fans in St Louis). also let it host Wrestlemania.

You shouldn't be allowed to lose a team twice and still have a shot at another team, let alone TWO.

It's going to be two teams again, Rams and Chargers. Have the blackout rules really changed so much that when they can't sell out again, fans won't completely lose interest.

The rules haven't changed, but the priority has. In the late 80s/early 90s, the TV money wasn't what it is now, so I'm not sure if teams entertained the idea of closing off sections of the stadium so they could "sell out." Tons of teams do that now, because the TV revenue is so much. On top of that, far more tickets are given away as part of corporate sponsorships now as opposed to then.

That makes sense. I just don't trust that Los Angeles fan base. I definitely don't trust them to support two teams. Those are easily the most fickle fans in the country.

Chuck Knox was a better coach than Fisher is.
