You must really be ready to see all our big plays go away don't you. Crayton, Williams, Witten, and Barber. They are all solid, Witten's all-pro, Barber is a beast. They are all slow, none have the home run threat. Owens is still getting open deep down the field - we just can't protect.

I would love to see it without him.

My guess is Tank Johnson cancels the Montrae Holland trade if he indeed leaves. 5th roundish compensatory pick in 2010.

Oh well, the Tank experiment didn't work out. But it's the same thought process that allowed them to sign Colombo. One worked. One didn't.

Nothing wrong with that.

I don't really have a problem re: his comments re: free agency. He wants a big payday. If the cowboys don't extend you early and show no inclination to, then the writings on the wall. Good luck to 'em in Indy or Tampa next year.

This attitude is whats wrong with our team. We've got a lot of players on this team that get in little huddles and whine and complain, just like BPs old quote used to say.

Tank wasn't a world beater in Chicago either, if his name was Billy Jenkins no one would know about him - and Jerry wouldn't have been so quick to sign him. That crypt keeper sure does like shiney toys.

Billy Jenkins has a superbowl ring.

Ok, honestly. Is this some sort of internet joke I wasn't informed about? Why does everybody spell "losing" with two "O's". It's really getting annoying.

...Don't mind me...I'm sulking :(

There is a running joke on fark.com about loosing vs losing. Someone fixed someone's spelling by adding an extra "o" when it wasn't needed. Basically it comes down to people who can't spell....like the their vs there vs they're. Not sure if they're saying it as a joke or they don't know the difference between the two.

tank sucks and Zach is old,we need a beast in the LB spot.

That beast is gonna be Bobby Carpenter..... FINALLY!!! Bradie James and Kevin Burnett should be splitting time because Kevin Burnett is a better cover linebacker than Bradie James. Bradie James is more of a run-stopper or blitzing the quarterback type linebacker..

I bet Romo and Witten wouldn't when they start paying more attention to him. You would probrably be the first one whining when the offense looks like trash without TO.

LOL, it looks like trash WITH him, and Witten was good even before TO got here.

I wouldnt whine at all.

Cause I dont think that would happen. I think we would run the ball more and make safer throws and that it would change the offenses dynamics.

Miles austin is a guy who needs snaps and can give us a big play threat, he runs very good routes by the way.

and most importantly all the drama would be off the team.

I would love to see it.

Good deal. See ya later Tank. We certainly won't miss the 1 or 2 plays you'd make every 15 or so games.

DMN Blog: Zach Thomas: I 'probably won't' return in 2009

Brian Davis E-mail News tips

Linebacker Zach Thomas negated the final three years of his contract by playing in at least 32 percent of the defensive plays this season. Now that he's a free agent, Thomas said he probably will not return to the Cowboys in 2009.

The 13-year veteran from Texas Tech said he had a good year playing for the Cowboys. But for Thomas, playing inside linebacker in a 3-4 base scheme was a huge departure for someone who spent a decade playing middle linebacker in a 4-3.

"It was a good experience, though," said Thomas, who praised both Bradie James and Kevin Burnett. "It was real good. Happy to play with a lot of good guys with this team. There are a lot of good guys on this team. We just never got it together and I'm disappointed, but what more can you say?

"I want to come back, but it's hard to do something for 12 years and play a position and try to change just to make it work. I wanted to come back to Texas, you know? It's a little out of my comfort zone playing a different position."

Thomas isn't the only player looking forward to free agency. Nose tackle Tank Johnson was overheard saying, "I'm a free agent, baby." Johnson has been unhappy for weeks. Unlike Thomas, the Cowboys probably won't be sad to see Johnson go.

It should be yet another lesson to jerry. You give this guy a chance when no one wanted to, and he rewards you with poor play and a comment like I am a free agent.

Pacman and owens will do the same at some point.

so like I said.

1 down

2 to go.

T.O. is retiring as a Cowboy, so you can forget that wish. He will be here win we host another trophy. so start working on something new for next season, not just you but all of you T.O. haters, find something new to harp on.

T.O. will never be a super bowl champion.

Not going to happen.
