Fasano = Moose

All the TC reports I read, seem to point out the improvement Fasano is making.

If he can take the next the step as a viable receiving threat, this offense will be hard to cover!

It seemed last year Romo did not throw to the backs when everyone was covered up.

I think using our backs/Fasano will elevate the offense even further?

In all 16 games last year, I only recall Fasano doing one positive thing. Making a diving catch against the Colts for a first down. Great value for a 2nd rounder.

Which clearly proves you either 1. didn't pay any attention to the games. or 2. you wouldn't know a "positive thing" if it bit you in the ***.

Fasano was a solid contributor last year. He wasn't a standout by any stretch of the imagination, but he was solid. I've been saying this for a while (and in danger of sounding sacreligious), but if we were to lose Witten, we're not going to see nearly the drop off in production that most of you would think. Fasano can ball.

Umm Dallas will clearly use Fasano more in the passing game, the guy has some of the better pair of hands on the team.... I don't think the Moose Johnston comparisons are accurate...

I would compare him more to Washington's Cooley, though Fasano is bigger, not quite as fast and is a better blocker.

I think in Garrett's offense that Fasano will get the catches that Moose got in Norv's, since I don't think the FBs on the roster are going to excel in the short passing game like Fasano can. (I mentioned this in a post a few days ago)

I wouldn't say Moose, and I wouldn't say Cooley either (BTW- Cooley is an excellent blocker).

But I think the kid certainly has the potential to be a solid contributer. He has good hands, is a good blocker, and IMO understands the game. Nothing wrong with having untapped (NFL-wise) talent with something to prove.

You nailed it. Fasano is going to get better and the world won't crumble if (god forbid) anything happens to Witten. Fasano is an excellent second option at TE.

Actually, I do (pay attention)...and if you would like to back up your accusations with facts, then let me know. I've watched Fasano play ball for four years now. You? He's arguably as athletic as Witten, arguably as fast as Witten (probably not quite though), and likely MORE agile than Witten.

...but by all means, keep crying about a wasted second round pick that are in the past. You're worse than my girlfriend.

...and furthermore, if you think I don't like Witten, look at my sig.

...and un isn't a word, its a prefix and an abbreviation.

While I agree he's not an "excellent blocker," he's not bad at it either.

Exactly. There would be a dropoff in production, but a minimal one. One that most teams would beg for.
