The 1978 version of "Dawn of the Dead" is at the top of my list.

I have a couple others that are not on your list that will be included on my "Halloween Hidden Gems" list.

I wouldn't call any of the Evil Dead movies a zombie movie.

i was mixed on that too.
But many of their creatures were past human life beings that has been animated or risen from the dead ? (including " Fruit Cellar" fat girl)

True, but it was demonic possession rather than the typical zombie fare which is usually tied to a disease / virus, etc..It's like calling the Exorcist a zombie movie.

I never liked zombie movies as much as the other monster movies, but I still enjoy them. The ones with some comedy in them are my favorites.

28 Days Later — technically a “rage virus” but we all know it’s zombies.

Train to Busan. Top notch Korean zombie movie. The best I’ve seen in a looooooong time. I haven’t seen the sequel but I didn’t hear good things.

I loved 28 weeks later more than 28 Days Later.
I thought Weeks it was much faster and more intriguing than Days,.

i started Train to Busan early but did not get to continue it. I'm hoping to catch the English Dubbed version though.
It's tougher to be training my eyeballs to read sub-titles at bottom of screen, ..while looking at the actors' facial expressions.
i can relax more with dubbed than sub-titles.

28 Weeks Later was a respectable sequel. Not a bad pick at all.

Make sure you finish Train to Busan. You won’t be disappointed.
