Favre or Romo

lol...this organization was dysfunctional? It still is...that's why Dak has a job.
One of the more competent moves this organization made was finally benching Romo in favor for Dak. It took nuts. I'll give them props for doing what had to be done.

In the Romo era. Who do you take? Romo is a big fan. Bret only won one... Who do you use.
Ridiculous question. Favre was view by everyone outside of Dallas as a top QB who could put a team on his shoulders and carry them. Execs, players, coaches, media ranked him higher than Aikman. Tony Romo was never in that conversation. Over time, he became a very good QB who accomplished nothing for the Cowboys.

Favre is probably the only Hall of famer I can say I'm glad was never a Cowboy. He was that reckless with the ball. He was ok when his team was dominating and overpowering another team, but get into a dogfight with an equal or better team, use two hands to count the interceptions.

I heard a stat once and it didn't surprise me. Favre never came back from 14 points down in the regular season with the Green Bay Packers.

Favre was a better QB than Romo. In fact Favre was Romo's idol.

But Favre is a pretty terrible person and Romo has enjoyed the much better post playing career.

Yes. Brett Farve is the all-time interception leader, by a lot.

Favre was one of the few elite QBs to play the game. His baddest day was lightyears ahead of Romos best outing.

Depends on which year. Favre's teams had much more overall success, so I'd pick him if we're looking at career, but I'd take 2014 Romo over all but a few of Favre's years. That's the only year, though, where I'd favor Romo over Favre. Some others might be close, but most would favor Favre.

For what it's worth, I don't think Favre would have fared much better here than Romo did, if at all. The year the Packers won the Super Bowl with Favre at QB, they also had the No. 1 defense in points against and yards (fourth against the run and first against the pass). They were third in turnovers forced.

Back when Dallas played them in 2007 I was upset Favre got knocked out of the game. That's the only chance the Packers had to win that game. At the time I didn't know how good Rodgers was going to be, but I sure got a pretty good idea after that game.

I know Favre had a nice long career, but on that day, Favre and Romo didn't look like they belonged on the same field. I think it was 27-10 when Rodgers came in and brought them back. Had he not come in, the game is a blowout.

I’ll take Minnesota Viking and New York Jets legend Brett Farve

Trick question?
Favre was league MVP a whopping 3 times, an 11-time Pro Bowler and first-ballot HOFer
Few players in league history were as decorated as Brett Favre.

Sure, put Romo on better teams for many years in a row (not just one here or there) and he may have broken through with a ring.
But it didn't work out that way it's all theoretical.

Is this a real question? Farve was amazing and had fun playing football like a kid. Super strong arm and never missed games. I hated GB but I loved this dude.
