Besides the fact we needed it this week w/ a few guys being banged up, do you like the week when Dallas is off?

It kinda takes me out of the football mood a little. But at least I get to relax on Sunday for once, as opposed to most of our games.

And w/e happens on Sunday night w/ washington and philly Ill enjoy one of thoose *******s being basically knocked out.

I wouldnt call 4-4 knocked out of anything no matter who loses.

Something needs to be done to correct the bye week situation.

Something like 2 divisions in each conference off in week 8 and the same for week 9. No more of this BS week 3-7 stuff.

yeah, I love the bye, esp. when you have a winning record :) can sit back and laugh when other teams lose, basically sit back and enjoy yourself watching other games, appreciating the great plays both teams make in the game, instead of bringing yourself to a near cardiac arrest watching Cowboy games lol

it beats the byes we have had in the past, i think we had week 3 off for the last 3 or 4 years, and that was to early, this years bye came at a good time cause we have a few players banged up, but more importantly we will have 3 games in 11 days coming up when we get back into action

I'm looking forward to being able to relax and nap on Sunday. Then watching the Skins and eagles sunday night. And for the record I'm rooting for both training staffs.

We usually get like week 3 or 4. I prefer this so much more than the early weeks. Seems like it comes at just the right time.

I agree.....I hate it when we have an early bye and have to play like 12 straight games.

With the 2005 Cardiac Cowboys, my blood pressure goes back to normal for at least one week. I guess I get a few months extended on my lifespan.

I disagree,, 4-4 would be a knock out. You have to think that 10-6 is the least you can go and have a shot at the playoffs in the NFC East. If you are 4-4 , that means you have to go 6-2 the rest of the way. I don't think the boys can go 6-2 , so no way can either skins or iggles come close to that. So, 4-4 is the end for one of these teams.

The only good that comes from our bye week is that I can watch all my fantasy players at any time, rather than just during Cowboys commercials.

..it's the best the team could hope for given injuries and new players just signed that need to be brought up to speed.

I do wonder though how much of this the team can handle when during this bye week, the coaches and players have to take time to try to prepare for 3 teams coming up in 11 days once play resumes.

Other teams except for Denver, don't have to do that. They just prepare for their next opponent and don't get distractions during the Bye Week like Dallas must do with having to actually study film and game plans of teams 2-3 weeks down the road..

..while the team immediately in front of them doesn't really get a bunch of the attention..

..that team being the Iggles.

At least not the attention they should from the players and coaches on a normal routine of prep had there not been a Bye Week.

So I'm doubious about this Bye Week and I'm doubious about how they team has to alter it's preparation schedules to meet the demands of the situation.

When we had the 90's teams with so much talent and veteran leadership, it was an advantage. In the last 8-10 years, it's not been an advantage at all.

More of a liability.

So while I'll take the Bye Week where it is at mid-season this year for a change as a plus, but I'm wondering how the week will be utilized and if it is a positive or a negative in the end to do it this way.

It's sort of like the supposed brainstorm to spend the week out in Cali before the Raider game to keep focus instead of flyng back and forth.

That obviously didn't work out, as they played the worst game of their season out there doing that.

We also saw the Jints come off their Bye Week and play us and they were flat as flat can be.

Can we avoid that in Philly coming off our Bye Week, plus trying to keep our eyes on 3 games within 11 days..?

Can we still play what will have to be a superior game to beat Philly in their desparate situation in Philly..?

Many of us will point back to this Bye Week and whether the team got it right or not depending on where we are over the next 3 games.

It's an interesting sidebar to the season...that's for sure.

I think this Bye Week more than any others in recent years, makes or breaks this team's season.

We'll see.
