Garrett's gameplan is the key to this game in my opinion. Our defense is playing lights out especially compared to late last season, and I don't see the D giving up more than 24 points. This game is going to come down to offense.

We all know Philly loves to blitz and we NEED to counter those blitzes. For everytime we think the Eagles will show blitz, Romo needs to have an extra play for a screen or a draw. Felix is the perfect player to combat the blitz-happy Eagles. I think we see more screens to Austin and Ogletree and draws to our RBs, especially Felix. Do you guys think this will be the gameplan? I can see The Cat having over 150 total yards.

I have been thinking for a couple games now that it is a matter of time before he breaks one for 80. Hope it is this weekend.

I really think this is the week. How amazing would it look on national TV?

I could definitely see this happening. I think Philly is going to be bringing the house to cause some turnovers.... like they always do. I think Felix can make them regret it.

I don't think that coaches really "save" plays for later on in the season a whole lot.... but I think the fact that Felix hasn't been used too much on screens and such can definitely have a positive effect on this game.

Considering your defensive comment....

Andy Reid and the Eagles have a huge disparity when it comes to the run/pass ratio. They get pass happy ALL the time. With that being said, I am not worried about there running game. I think we can handle that with just a basic 7 man front.

We need to really buckle down on our pass coverage and send an array of blitz packages to get to McNabb. If we can put pressure on him he'll turn the football over.

I dont care what there running game did to the Giants Sunday, they are virtually one dimensional and moreso if they get behind AT ALL.

Anyway, I am anxious to see what our defense can do and believe that we can make some big plays and get some turnovers.

BTW, I'm loving our special teams so far this year and look forward to watching more.

I don't know if the defense is playing "lights out" but they are playing better than the first 2 weeks which isn't hard to do.

That being said, I still worry about them. 2 long drives yesterday, 2 time consuming drives allowed against Atlanta when the game was still in doubt. Hopefully the turnovers start to come and they start to become a more dominant unit. They certainly aren't there yet.

don't forget M80. he had a great screen pass too on that 2nd and 20 play.

also, i bet roy gets a couple of those quick passes, steve smith style and gets some big gains.

I have to agree. Pressure on McNabb is key. When he has time, he is still as dangerous a QB as he has ever been.

I think this is the 2nd best passing offense we've faced behind the Giants. Despite the four turnovers, Dallas had a chance to win the game in the 4th quarter if the defense could just stop Eli and that passing game....they didn't. And it wasn't like Eli was dropping bombs either. I believe he only had 3 or 4 passes of over 15 yards. The rest were under 15. They picked the defense apart. Philly can do the same thing. Plus, they do have a homerun hitter in DeSean Jackson. Newman and the CBs have their work cut out for them.

I do worry about the 2ndary.

Felix who:( wonder if the knee is still bothering him or Garrett still forgets he's on the sidelines

I think he had well over 100 total yards yesterday. When he gets his touches he's making the most of them.

I agree Felix is the key to victory.

The Eagles don't blitz as often as it looks
. They've just done it real well for the most part. They do over play the pass often. They like to get their D-Lineman up the field after the QB. Play the run on the way to the QB.

A lot of teams do this. We do it a lot under Wade.

The best way to beat this is with a RB who can take it all the way on any play.

I like the draw action play we've run a lot in the past. Looks like we've gotten away from it in recent weeks.

It's not a true draw. It's like a half draw. We give the defense a pass look at the snap, Romo takes a couple steps back then hands off.

The end result is much like a traditional hand-off except Romo doesn't turn his back to the defense, giving them a pass look for just a second.

There's a vocal minority on this site that hate it. I love it.

I love this play against the Eagle's defense with Jones taking the ball. Get them rushing and stunting up the field opening up natural run lanes for Jones. Then let Jones do his thing.

Looks like Jones is 100% healthy. Provide he stays that way throughout the game, I see him getting 20 carries.

If he is going to break out this would be a great game for it. I think same sceens and change of direction plays will help slow their rush down. I also think we need to pound the rock heavy all evening. I don't think their front is stout enough to handle our run game. Plus, it will keep the Philthy offense on the bench.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see A LOT of misdirectional plays like we did @ Green Bay last year. The Eagles D is overly-aggressive at times that they can overpursue and get caught in the wrong gaps. I want to see at least 5 misdirection plays with Felix.

84 total didn't realize he had 8 carries, just think he needs to get the ball more explosive player

These Eagles are going to be very tough to beat. I love what I've seen out of the Cowboys the last 2+ games but beating these Eagles on the road is an awfully tough trick. I am always for feeding Felix the ball--he could definitely end up being the difference. Between him and Austin, that field will be stretched about as far as it can be.

I think the lack of speed we had at the end of last year really bit us hard. Without the emergence of Austin, Felix out for the year and T.O. losing his explosiveness, we just didn't have any serious threat at the end of last year. This year, you put a healthy Felix in the offense, with the emergence of Miles Austin and a healthy offensive line, gives you an entirely different Dallas squad compared to what we saw last December.
