the garrett thing WILL sort itself out.... Norv is bitin' at the chomp.... Jerry needs leadership that he can, at a minimum trust.... it's the safe selection....

i'm not giddy over it - would prefer rivera.... question why all the love for garrett (think jerry's sellin' *ahem* "hope")....

we'll see.... '07 is the start of norv's last "hurrah"

Everyone, be ready for 3 more years of mediocrity if Turner is named HC....he's not a motivator of men...

if it is I am fine with it...I know what Turner will mean to Romo and our offense and if we have a good defensive staff, things will be fine

our team is not the Commanders or Raiders teams he coached previously

no, he's not.... that's why it'll be more of the same on d - we're gonna have to put up 28 a week....

You wanted Parcells gone, but you'd be fine with Norv Turner? Seriously?

yep...guess we'll see, but Turner is a tremendous offensive guy...with the talent we have on offense and his development of Romo, we can be pretty good...just have to get the right defensive people in there

I'm afraid it will be Norv..........which is fine as far as offense is concerned. I also think he is smart enough to bring in one of the Ryans to run his defense.

As far as bing a motivator of men, well Parcells didn't exactly motivate them either.

the hidden gem might be the singletary question.... if he IS prepared to take over a d, this just might pan out.... there's no doubt that our future will pend on how the d performs - would singletary accept the d coordinator spot and would he be successful (like his former teammate, rivera)

Well no crap sherlock! That's the whole point. Some want to replace one re-tread with another in Turner or Phillips?? Can you say 9-7 loudly? That's what you'll have again. SAY NO to RETREADS!!!

Turner is worse than status quo.... a negative.

with Jerruh as GM what we got was the best you could reasonably expect, without help from above and/or a LT-like player fall in your lap. a couple less fumbles and we'd have been playing more games, maybe even last weekend or next.

Turner in here as HC destroys all hope.

I have to say I'm not sold on turner as a HC...I think as an OC his is great, but not HC. I don't think he commands the respect of the players that a HC has to do.

I wouldn't mind Rivera as HC and Garrett as OC. Two young talents that have passion and a full career ahead of them.

I like the idea of an offensive HC, but there is not one out there I want. There are a few strong defensive candidates like Rivera, Ryan, and even Phillips although give me youth. Garrett as OC may be a good thing.

I'd rather lose a good coordinator than a good sitting HC. Would you have taken Norv over Jimmy had he not left?? What if a guy like Rivera turns out to be a lights out HC? Would you want him to leave just because Garrett is being "developed"? More power to Garrett if he gets another job as a HC somewhere else as long as we got one. Youth is the way to go with the players and the coaches.....period.
