IMO In the end asterisks don't really matter. Denver was over the salary cap with their team that won their first Super Bowl. Is anyone talking about that? Is it etched in their SB rings? Was there a deduction on their individual SB pay checks? Did their team sales and popularity go down? Nope, quite the opposite. Basically this issue will be washed away in a few weeks much like the Suh reversal nonsense. The Pitt Seattle SB was a travesty and I swore off the NFL for College football after that game and wondered back to the NFL by draft time. I hate to see the game tarnished but as someone said earlier, "Until the NFL cares more about the game than the $$, things will not change". The NFL loves their darlings and their $$ and we're the fickle fans that keep coming back for more. Not saying it's the fans fault but it is what it is until morals override greed which isn't going to happen. It's our nature to forgive and forget and Politian's have been riding that fact for centuries.
Apologize for the seriousness of this opinion. Again just my take.
