Can't count the Patriot game as that "loss" that EVERY team needs in order to be "well adjusted" and "real". Losing to the Patriots isn't enough to have a team "re-evaluate" and "soul-search", because losing to this Patriot team is expected. In fact, the way Dallas lost to New England probably gave them more confidence and bravado than is healthy for a team this young.
Every championship team, inevitably needs that one "loss" to get re-grounded, committed and focused. A healthy loss to remind the team to "get ready" and "get prepared" for EVERY GAME. Take nothing for granted.
What? Did we think that after the Patriot game that Dallas was going to sweep the board and "win out"? C'mon. Had to happen eventually. Might as well be the Eagles. Let them have their Super Bowl.
Couldn't have happened at a better time IMO. Two regular season games left to "re-up" to what's expected and "re-warm-up" for the playoffs.
Now, when the Seahawks, Bucs, Giants or Vikings come to town, Dallas won't just dally around and assume a victory. Because THAT'S what's going to happen! One or the other of those four teams is gonna' come calling the first playoff game. And this Eagle loss succeeded in teaching Romo et al. that Tampa ain't just gonna' roll over for ya'.
Good thing...............
