Nobody was going to offer a 1st round besides the Cowboys that's a FACT! The Cowboys front office as usual panicked and gave into the Raider's demand. So if you believe that a WR that's going to cost you $14M next year plus a 1st round pick is a good investment long term then you're really not looking at this long term. The Raiders weren't paying $14M for the guy, they are in rebuilding mode and he was getting traded regardless. The question was about who was going to be dumb enough to overpay and the Cowboys raised their hand.
Cooper appears to be better than all of those players.
The only issue is that teams get those players for 5 years before they hit free agency. The Cowboys get Cooper for 1 game over 1.5 seasons before he is a free agent.
Funny thing about this is that Cooper, Ridley, and Alabama's Current superstar Jerry Jeudy all grew up in the same area and all has similar styles in regards to their route running and can run the entire route tree.
when you watch Tua, pay attention to his pocket presence, how he subtly slides around in the pocket eyes always up. he has a great feel already for moving up and shifting away from pressurehow do you know? college year hasn't finished and no player evaluations done yet.....and I am not sold on Tua.....
how's the arm strength, can he make the side line throws....when you watch Tua, pay attention to his pocket presence, how he subtly slides around in the pocket eyes always up. he has a great feel already for moving up and shifting away from pressure
he's left handed but watch him always reset his feet when rolling out especially to the right instead of jumping or throwing off his back foot
he has ridiculous accuracy but notice how often he throws receivers open, always puts the ball away from the defender
he makes routine throws into double coverage deep when he sees his guy open, he drops these in all the time right on the receiver and his deep ball accuracy is unmatched. he does this every. single. game. it's not a fluke
he's a good enough athlete that if he wants to run, he's a real threat
his stats I'm sure you are familiar but if not, they just add to the resume
this guy would be so exciting to have as qb
looks fine to me *shrug*how's the arm strength, can he make the side line throws....
Develop linemen in the mid rounds? Like Green in the 3rd? They need top talent and you’re not going to find it in the mid rounds. I mean they already got a project on their hands as is from the 2nd last year in Williams.
Hey I’ll take a Leary!! Or even a good TE. I just don’t want anymore Williams or Greens. In fact that’s exactly what I want at LG....a big bruiser with a sloppy uniform look about him.In my opinion, the front office has invested more than enough in the oline over the last few years by drafting lineman in the 1st round and a 2nd rounder last draft.
There are guys like Ronald Leary, who went undrafted, in the draft.
Our 2019 2nd round pick needs to go towards a Tight End if the right guy is available.
Dude safeties don’t get drafted in the first unless they are freaks of nature, none in this draft. If you are a cowboys fan and still hold out hope for a DT in every first round you are an idiot.Could've went S, QB, DT.. they had options and the team tossed them out the window for another WR. Mind blowing. The guy has 280 yards through 6 games, but I'm sure he'll flip the switch as soon as he gets here.
yes, he has a gun. Bama is throwing it deep more than ever now. And it is really deep.how's the arm strength, can he make the side line throws....
Thats ridiculous manAs many as necessary until it’s solid again.
This isn’t about Dak.Thats ridiculous man
QBS are tearing it up with very questionable lineman....Dak just isnt very good
Well, not really, N'Keal Harry will probably be the highest WR picked since Cooper. And a lot of those WRs were rated higher than the (early) rating of WRs in next year's draft.
Agreed largely.People screaming about drafting a QB next year must not watch any Cowboys games. What rookie QB will have any success in JG's offense with these receivers? Not many vet QBs would have any success.
